This was our favorite B&B on our two week trip. The house is comfortable, and the family could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The extra touch of high tea and scones with the best cream ever really made us happy to arrive. Beautiful location!

What makes Athy special first and foremost is the couple who run this family home. They made us feel very welcome and shared their personal story of their house and its amazing georgian history with us. I stayed with my boyfriend for three nights in Moate House. We were staying in a separate part to the rest of the lodgers. This meant that we had our own private kitchen where we could cook dinner if we wanted. There was also a living area and a huge bedroom with one double, two singles and an ensuite bathroom with a huge shower! It was so lovely to have so much space to ourselves. Simply superb, could not fault any aspect of our stay. From the staff on reception through to those in the restaurant we found them all to be friendly, helpful and accomodating. A wide selection of delicious food, the fillet steak is a must.

The room was much larger than I anticipated. The reception staff were very friendly and courteous. The hotel more than met my expectations, and everything was of a much higher standard than I expected for the price! If I am staying in the area again I will be returning to Lawlors, and I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends.

Your staff were very friendly and accommodating and i only had to ask once to reserve a table for dinner and was pleasantly surprised that the information was passed to your waiting staff.
The room i stayed in was comfortable and had everything i wanted.

When we were registered, we were escorted to our accommodation by a lovely young lady who was extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful indeed. We did not get a chance to have dinner in the restaurant, but we did have breakfast prior to our departure and it absolutely excellent and inexpensive.
