    Although not in the center of Dublin it was a short and inexpensive cab ride away from O'Connell street and had frequent city buses you could also ride into town. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the facilities were extremely nice, it was a great value for the price - It was alittle way out of the city so nice and quiet and excellent bu... what people say » s service to the city.     Staff was very friendly. Prior to my arrival I emailed the front desk about transportation from the airport -- they emailed me back immediately with the bus to take, where it drops me off, and how to get to the hotel from there. Upon checkout, I was able to leave my bags at the front desk and they provided me with a taxi to the bus station. Even better, the hop on-hop off bus - The Belvedere Hotel was close to the centre,of Dublin a couple of minutes away walk. The room was quite and very clean and breakfast enjoyable, you received a discount if booking breakfast when you arrive. Lifts available so you don't need to carry bags. We got a very good last minute deal for the night. There is a pub bar/food connected to hotel.The hotel has entertainment shows on weekends. The hotel is very closely located to entertainment, food, sight seeing attractions.

    Location was the only reason we decided on this hotel and it was really worth it. We never used any transport except of tour buses - evetything is a short wack far (quays, Temple bar, the Trinity college).     Myself aged 31 and my mother of 65 years of age were looking for somewhere fairly central but away from the noise and that's just what we got! 10 minutes straight forward walk to shopping locations, Temple Bar, Central Bus Station, The LUAS and Connelly Train Station. We stayed there initially when we arrived in Dublin, then after touring Ireland for two weeks, we stayed there again before leaving for Wales. Would not have done this if we were not happy.     The food, service and atmosphere was outrstanding. I arrived for the Dublin Marathon and was very impressed with the Ballsbridge Hotel. I was able to relax for a couple of days before the race on Monday 29th October, and everything was so accessible from registration at RDS, a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and the Marathon start, only 10 mins walk.... what people say » I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and enhanced my enjoyment & preapartion for the Marathon. - Excellent location. Easy access by bus to downtown and airport. Excellent restaurants nearby - Indian, Cuban, Japanese, seafood and others. Rooms were spacious and bed very comfortable. Quite hotel, clean room, comfortable bed, nice smelling bedclothes and towels, good breakfast, affable staff, adequate price. I arrived at 1 p.m. - there was no problem with check - in. Perfect place to have a rest before next flight, I was absolutely satisfied.

    My friend and I arrived at around 10.20am, we were soaking wet from the morning downpour and there was a twin room ready, they checked us in straight away. The bar was lovely, great service and reasonably priced, tasty food. We went to Dublin for a concert, if we had to go again, we would def stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel again.     Loved the room. (Room 202). When you went in the room door there was a living room area with 2 arm chairs, coffee table, fire place, TV, and an eating table with 2 chairs. Off that room was a small kitchen - the basics tea/coffee and ample storage. Next room was the bedroom. This was quite big with a very big comfy bed. I didn't avail o - Excellent value. I was worried about all the reports on noise, but it didn't bother me at all. It is fairly clear that it is going to be noisy anyway. Anyone complaining about this has been warned by other reviews and by the hotel's own website. It is ideal for anyone on a budget. Drinks were 2.50 at the bar and a large selection of meals from 6euro. If you prefer to be part of the party this place is great for you.

My room was huge, containing a large double and two single beds, this was not an 'upgrade', I had paid for a non refundable room in advance. Staff all friendly and very helpful, in particular the girl who checked me in, didn't get her name, but she's off to Ibiza on holiday shortly! Lovely courtyard out back with waitress service (food and drink) and where smoking is permitted. Highly recommended.
