Staff: very friendly & helpful -- called for taxis and gave us information on the area. Had a triple room which was spacious with high ceilings and a bay window -- very charming. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with tea/coffee/sugar. Delicious Full Irish Breakfast or continental cereal, toast, fruit -- people working in the breakfast room were very attentive. Donnybrook location is great -- bus stop a block away, and only 10 minutes north you're downtown, 10 minutes sout.

You have a great place, very comfortable beds and quiet location. The buses were very easy to get also and handy with all the conveniences over the road. Thanks for a 5* experience. Breakfast was first class, as good as ,if not better than many of the up market hotels in this area. It is a perfect location to base yourself if visiting Dublin. There is a Bus stop directly outside the front door for city and airport travel. I highly recommend this great value town house. Location was fairly good. Near a bus stop and easy to get taxis as needed. The staff was great about printing vouchers for booked activities, arranging taxis, and answering silly tourist questions. The breakfast was awesome everyday. Well worth including in the price. Made sure we got a big, healthy breakfast for starting out for the day. Would stay again. I had the single room. It was perfect for the price I payed. A hairdryer was provided. The bed was comfy too with working remote for the telly. I loved the layout of the breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. The room was a little bit humid.We have had the water pipies close to the bed and during the night they werea little bit noisy.The hotel is not centre located (30min wolking or 10min by busses) during the morning it is not a problem but the busses stop at 23.30 (even if taxies are not expensive). The room was cold when we first arrived but after I turned on the radiator it was toastie!. thin walls (old building): if other guests make any noise, you can hear them. The shower attachment needed to be repaired but nothing major. The bedroom was too hot and the radiators couldn't be switched off. The water in the shower was far too hot and couldn't be turned down. The wifi slowed to a crawl at th top of the house. Power plugs were difficult to access for phones ect. Needed an early breakfast & 7.15 was the earliest available. Needs a revamp in certain areas. The shower had poor water pressure, water was tinted brown and the drain was very slow so you were standing in an inch or two of water. Not the b&bs fault but they should look into it. Only thing we did not like was, for us personally the room was to hot. room very small. I didn't like that I had to leave :(. Maintenance is a bit of an issue. Room a little cold. Limited car parking. Noise from the street at night. 1. Nowhere to park while checking in: hotel is located on a busy corner, with yellow lines all round. It has private parking but you have to check in to get access. Could hotel get the city to reserve the on-street parking space just outside the hotel door for short-stay use by its guests? 2. Traffic noise might bother some guests (hotel is on a busy city road & bus route - but set well back from it). However, I slept well. it was regretful there was no wheelchair access as my mother would have recommended it to several others if there was. The only disappointment was the huge lack of tv channels. Even installing "freeview" would give guests a reasonable choice. Breakfast disappointing compared to my previous visit.no hearing in bathroom-room2. Everything was fine. Slightly dated. Unable to find fault. The room I got for my first night was tiny and the bed was not comfortable. Noisy traffic late into the evening. Nothing really.

Herbert Park is only a 2 minute walk from our front door and the RDS exhibition centre is also within walking distance. Many famous bars and award winning restaurants are located in nearby Ranelagh and Ballsbridge.

Easy access to Aircoach bus stop, which is just across the road and we are situated on route N11 to Dun Laoghaire and the East Coast of Ireland.
