The hotel was very clean, the facilites were good and the food was excellent.The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. I would recommend ringing the hotel before travelling to get directions, as it is easy to miss it - the signposting is not good, but I understand this is due to restrictions by the local authority. I was impressed with the concierge who helped us with some excellent suggestions for our excursion in to Dublin and forward booked a great night of Irish music and food on our behalf.
all reviews » The friendliness of the staff especially the receptionist when we checked in on the Wednesday night. We also like the room and found it very comfortable and clean. Absolutely everything - it is a fantastic hotel and I would recommend it highly. Rate is fantastic, food is great and Luas only a few short minutes walk.The hotel was fab, loved the rooms, the ease of check in/check out, the bar was really nice and the restaurant next door. the friendly staff and everything about it was just great couldnt have stayed in a nicer place. Coming from Dublin it was easy to see and then to reach, but our initial approach was from the West having already had a 5 night break in Banagher. From this direction the Hotel was hard to spot and the Bus Lane access road was forbidding. The key cards for using the lift was excessive and fiddly. bar staff or night porter pushing a crate full of empty bottles across the yard at 3am and then proceeding to empty them out!!!!!!!! WHAT A RACKET. I was awake after this for over an hour.The location isn't the best without car. The only thing I didnt like was, having stayed there the before , I had the same high expectations and unfortunatily I was given a smaller room , than I had previously stayed in , which was a little disappointing, but everything else met with the high standards I have come to expect.a bit far from public transport, 15 mins walk. The price of the food in the LJ restaurant was a little high for the portions being served but it was only a very small thing. The fire alarm going off at 10:30PM. Dificult to find with all the road works in the area. Street name onbooking form wass Naass Cross Rd but gps only had Naass Rd.The car parking entrance and exit are too tight. I had a problem when checking in as the receptionist said the rate was for room only and I had booked room and breakfast also the following morning the waiter had no record of breakfast for us until I insisted that it was included.Poor accessibility. The location. Its a bit tricky to find. Accessibility from Luas Stop. I found it very hard to find even with Sat Nav!. I got room service at 3.30am after coming back from a night out. The sandwich was €7.95 which is fine, but I found out there was a €5.00 service charge on that. I would understand a charge because the sandwich was being made outside of normal hours, but not at nearly three quarters of the price of the sandwich. €2/€3 would have been fairer. I left my glasses there, and its been difficult to get the hotel staff to look for them. We were given a smoking room by mistake. But this was quickly retified once we let the staff know. Location was lacking. It is a long walk from the Luas, and a far way from downtown or anything interesting.A little far from the centre - but completely ok if you are by car!.
