The hotel was lovely, the room was very spacious and comfortable. Thestaff were very friendly and helpful. all reviews » The Price, parking, staff attitude and the food were all excellent. all of it. The room was comfortable and clean with easy access to M50 - the highway that loops around Dublin. There is a light rail station with parking less than a mile from the hotel (not within walking distance). A great location if you have a car or can afford a taxi. We thought the Hotel itself was beautiful. We also loved using the pool each morning and having the internet in the lobby was an excellent facility. Overall we loved our stay and thought it was very family friendly.hospitality of the staff, the dining room staff were most helpful to us and our two small children and made our stay very enjoyable. rooms swimming pool food. the hotel was very nice and the reason we chose it was because of the spa only to find it closed for renovations this was not stated on web page so we wee disappointed hotel staff were helpful bar one on the deli counter she nevr smiled and it was hard to get her attention food was good especially breakfast (sandwiches were cut in half and on a plate no presentation at all). staff at reception were very friendly -rooms nice and clean. using the leisure centre very good a pool excellent. leisure facility was excellent. teh relaxed homely atmosphere. pub and restaurant. I advised on Friday night re my credit card payment of 28th March and provided details and reference No. to receptionist ( O Dwyer ? ) at 8.20pm. Next morning at checkout 9.10 am..no-one knew what I was talking about. I had to chair a busy meeting in the Normandy Suite --finished at 4.30 pm no-one contacted me all day. it cost 9 euro extra to go for a swim which was a bit expensive! also pool was far too cold, had to leave after 5 minutes!. The staff in this hotel are so rude and unhelpful. When we checked in atthe counter I was asked 'what do you want?'.. Well to check in!!!! Nomanners, this was a general thing amounst staff. The cleaning staff werevery friendly however. short stay but no nothing we didn't like.good stay. Heater did not go on until 6:30 p.m. the staff not very plesant or helpful. noise from bar until late into night could be heard in bedroom. Minor annoyance of large piece missing from the skirting board leaving rough hole and edges and holes in the wall from a previous bracket. Screws sticking out of the wall with nothing on them.Could not understand how someone could walk away from unfinished work like this The room phone did not work.Four bulbs not working in the room, one missing. Tiles coming off the bath surround. restricted bar menu for snacks. There is a jacuzzi advertised but its actually part of the pool and not at all warm. Pool temperature was quite cold. Indifferent reception staff.Unable to find the booking,took a long time to sort out,lucky that I had a print out of the reservation.Room looked like it was done up. a constant noise in our room, like a motor of some kind running and vibrating all night,which made sleeping a problem to say the least. Blow dryer in room had holes and did not work, wall paper falling offthe walls, lamps didn't work. rooms v minimalistic, cleaning staff loud in mornings.closing off the pool for the children to soon in the evening. Leisure facilities closed at 6 pm - far too early / Very anoying 1.5Euro per towel, not allowed to bring own towels ... (You'll find outwhen you are standing at the leisure desk with the hole family in leightwardrobe without money ...) / Room in desperate need of makeover,wallpaper coming off the wall etc...the first room where i was i couldnt open the windows cause it was built like that that u cant open them and i asked room for a smoker. Couple of things I did not like about the hotel 1.Staff were unable to find our booking when we arrived 2. When we got to our room the cups and saucers were still dirty from the previous guests. Room service only till 9pm on Sunday night disapointing. Woman taking pictures at the pool deck was very off putting and surprising that it was allowed. Rooms in need of updating and fresh painting but it has only been taking over so Im sure its in the plans. There was an awful smell of food in the room but nothing mayor.Its too near to the road. Staff was a bit rude... the internet is too expensive to use and it used to be free. On top of that there is only one PC.Christmas parties were going on and loud guests who were smoking and leaving kept us awake all night long. You could hear them from the 4th floor. Room was over the kitchen and smelt very bad. Under construction. No Spa contrary to what the name indicates. No internet access contrary to description of amenities available. Stayed on a Sun and Thurs - Sunday night room was very nice but blowdryernot working, arrived at 3:00pm and told couldn't check in until 4:00pmbut my "printed confirmation" said 2:00pm, hotel staff at check in veryrude - not even a smile, the THurs. Night our room was on 1st floor andwallpaper falling off the walls, lamps in the room didn't work, showercurtain dirty,no hand wand for the tv.
