  When we arrived from the airport at the bus depot despite it being 1amthe very personable owner of Apartment k picked us up. The apartment wasright downtown but with a view of ocean and mountains, well furnishedand outfitted with large flat screen tv, wlan and MacMini with largecollection of movies. Kitchen very usable including excellent espressom... what people say » achine and ample supply of coffee. - Modern, sleek and stylish accommodation, with all the conveniences you could possibly need. Excellent communication and support from the owners, who were very helpful and welcoming. They now have a number of apartments in downtown Reykjavik, so be sure to ask them for the exact address of the one you'll be staying in, if you need to arrange taxis etc.

  The room was very spacious and had a small kitchenette. Having a ear plug was a nice touch due to being in a busy area. Also, having a jacuzzi tub in the room was a bonus. It was nice to have a jacuzzi tub on the roof to look at at the city. - This was an outstanding facility.   I really enjoyed my stay at the Alfholl Gueshouse. The owner Kristjan is very nice and follows up with you to find out what time your flight arrives/leaves to makes sure everything is in order. I would definitely recommend staying at the guesthouse - Good location, friendly owner and nice big (single) room. Even though the check-in time is until 22:00 I could still arrange to enter well past midnight due to a late flight arrival.

  We stayed in the Vatnsstigur 11 building, which is perfectly located just off the main street Laugevegur - close to everything, but not disturbed by nightlife at all. For extremely reasonable price you get comfortable sleeping place with bathroom in the room and access to the kitchen, where it's possible to cook your own meal.
