Aegir, the owner was a fantastic guy who upgraded us upon knowing we we were on our honeymoon to a gigantic loft (from a studio). Location is on the main shopping street so fast access to stores and restaurants. Room was equipped with everything one needs such as kettle, cooking stuff etc. One night, Aegir was thoughtful enough to run over to inform us that the Northen lights were starting to dance! Without a doubt, one of the best apartments I have stayed in!.

Although we were nervous when we pulled in the alleyway and parked in the back gravel lot, these feelings were unwarranted. When ægir opened the door to the art studio-converted apartment, we were simply amazed at the interior and modern minimalism design - so fun! We enjoyed using the kitchen and iPod dock as we ate and packed for our return trip home. This apartment was a brilliant way to end our time in Iceland. I had a text from the owner before I'd left the UK so had the peace of mind of a contact. Very friendly and helpful. Right on the main street so walking distance to everything. Well equipped kitchen and large living room area with huge tv. Easy to use heating system. From other reviews was worried about noise from street in the weekend evenings but was almost silent from our apartment. The girl who met us was amazing prior to staying there about arranging to meet and get the keys. The apartment was much better than we could have imagined, amazingly clean and a fantastic layout. We were 4 people, my parents and my partner and I and it suited all our needs. On the main street, but noise was not a problem. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Location is perfect as its near to the bars and boutiques.It wasnt as noisy as how some reviews said it was.The owner was super friendly.Best part was, on the two occasions that we gt to see the northern lights,it was from the balcony of the studio that we stayed in.Will definitely be back if we decide to go to Reykjavik again!. Location was excellent, right in the middle of the main street in Reykjavik. We paid for a "studio apartment" but were given a huge former art studio separate from the main building which was great. Hard to fault, if we had to be picky it's all hard floor so a bit echoey... The shower didn't attach to the wall so you had to hold it over your head which wasn't very convinient. We have no complaints. the area was a bit noisy at night. Nothing - the apartment was great. If you wanted to use the kitchen, a sharp knife and chopping board wouldn't be bad. The stairs. And two small things: to be able to use the dishwasher, we would have had to have more plates, etc; and we could have done with one or two teatowels. A little annoying that the reception on the lovely big tv was very poor, but we weren't in Reykjavik to watch tv!. Nothing. Bedroom inconvenient -- had to leave clothes in the 'living room', which was different for us. No complaints. Nothing. The wifi strength is weak at times and the pipe in the shower area was a little stuck but host says it will be fixed. Could be noisy outside on street on weekend nights. Some noise from the street. I slept very well though. There may be some noise from the street at night from happy people, but it was ok for us. Umm, er, all good. Lack of television channels to watch. Only received 6 channels and 4 of them played the same show. Nothing to dislike. Loud sound from the street below late at night. bit of road noise but not a problem on a sun/mon night. It was summer and we wanted to leave the windows open but there were party goers outside make lots on noise until 2 or 3 o'clock every night. we have seen the staff on our arrival to collect the money. we have not seen them on the following days. we stayed 4 nights. there were no cleaninig/make up service for the room.
