  Very nice hosts! We felt really great at the place. It was clean, modernly designed. The room was big and the bed comfy :) Internet was working ok. Possibility to use the kitchen, breakfast was good. 5min walk to the city center and the BSI bus station. - Wonderful host family! And the room was very spacious.

  We arrived early, unannounced, and were warmly welcomed and shown to our room even though it was not quite ready. One of the owners proceeded to put the duvets and pillowcases on the bed while we chatted with her, just as a friend might do with a house guest. Edda and Runar very helpful in general when I needed to find somewhere in the city or arrange anything.   I think it is not easy to find such a good hotel in the center of Reykjavik. The hotel is just beside the church, very convenient, quiet and clean. Three rooms share a bathroom, I think it was not a problem especially not in peak season. They provide shampoos, towels, etc. The breakfast is excellent, including many choices.   The location is tremendous! I travelled with my wife and another couple. We spent 3 nights here to start our trip then rented a camper van to travel the country for a week. OK Hotel is on the best main tourist street in the city. That being said, we stayed out late (some bars are open until 0600) on a Saturday night and the hotel is far enough removed tha - Everything went very smoothly - there's no one physically on reception, just a telephone to ring for details of how to get the key etc, but we had no problem arriving at midnight and there was always someone on the other end of the phone if we needed help or information. Very accommodating letting us leave our bags somewhere for a while after check out. Very well equipped kitchen with crockery, utensils etc. and we appreciated the fact that there was already tea and coffee available. Excellent

  Very friendly. I had a bit of a problem getting in and the owner was so apologetic & helpful that more than made up for it. He didn't charge me for that night & even offered a free dinner and a whale tour. Exceptional customer service for a minor in convenience.   It was all very new and clean. The room was a bit small but comfortable enough, the bed was good. Upon arrival we met an Asian lady who welcomed us otherwise there was never anyone around. - The staff is super kind and the rooms are very cozy and clean. The location is also very convenient (1 min) to get into the main walking street in Reykjavik.

  I really enjoyed my stay at the Alfholl Gueshouse. The owner Kristjan is very nice and follows up with you to find out what time your flight arrives/leaves to makes sure everything is in order. I would definitely recommend staying at the guesthouse - Good location, friendly owner and nice big (single) room. Even though the check-in time is until 22:00 I could still arrange to enter well past midnight due to a late flight arrival.
