Raphael, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. The Guesthouse Villa is in a fantastic location. Close enough to walk to everything in downtown Reykjavik. Yet far enough away from the rather loud and busy late night haunts that the noise does not affect you. This hotel is located in the city centre of Reykjavik. It is newly-opened, so everything is new. We stayed there for two nights. The staff is very friendly, and the room is clean and decent. I highly recommend this place.

Reykjavik is an expensive place and the hotel is good priced comparatively. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything was very clean and new. We arrived on a very late flight (reached the property at about 1 am) and we were met by the caretaker. The location was perfect as a home base to travel around Reykjavik and the staff was really nice and super helpful. The bed was very comfortable, nice that the curtains blocked out the light. Quiet room. Nice welcome from owner. The staff was so nice and friendly. Location is right in the center, everything is in walking distance. It seems like an old family house being fitted into a hotel, but it is not there yet. it would've been nice to have a fridge in the room. Nothing. The room and bathroom were quite small - probably better suited for a single person. Fine for one night but would have been a bit of a tight squeeze for more than one. We would like to stay a day or two longer :). Nothing. Fix the loose faucet on the bathroom sink. Need a better light in the bedroom, not the fluorescent sconce. Can't think of anything. no clear reception area. lack of 24-hour reception area. The staff were a bit not very helpful.
