The room was of exceptional standard for the price as was the hotel generally. Importantly if coming by/leaving by train and bus, this hotel is perfectly located right between both. Further to this kalambaka is a great base for visiting meteora as KTEL runs a bus from town at 900/1100/1300 to great meteora and bus leaves a short walk from hotel. The staff were helpful in giving information about the monasteries. The breakfast was the budget hotel style prevalent in greece centring around a boi.

Because of strike we stayed one more night, for the same price they found room for us. Price is just perfect, for that what they are giving! Beds are big, fridge, tv, save, wifi, breakfast, shower, wc, balcon, huge cafeteria area with fireplace all that for just 25 € and 35€ with breakfast for two people. Rooms are very clean with good quality furniture!. The owner of Galaxy hotel was friendly and available to help with all my enquirys, from advice on best time to visit the monastries to helping me book my onward bus ticket. She was very kind and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to budget travels.. We stayed at Galaxy for two nights visiting Meteora. The hotel is very well located in the center of Kalampáka. The rooms are nice and clean and the lady from the reception desk is very kind. I don’t know her name but I really appreciate everything that she did to make us to feel good. Thank you!. It was a lovely hotel right in the centre of Kalampaka underneath the monastries and mountains of Meteora. Our balcony had a view of the rock formations. First night the bed in our room very noisy and uncomfortable, however staff was great and changed our room the next day. Not very clean. Maybe a better coffee for the morning!... Internet does not exist, although it has to offer. Small room, uncomfortable bed, small bathroom and very small balcony. The outside noise is very disturbing if you sleep with the window open. You can not close the door unless you are told how by the owners. The balcony can not be used if the air conditioner is on because it's dropping on your head. Price / quality ratio too high if you keep in mind the accommodation. I mention that I had a room on the 2nd floor with Meteora view. -aspect of the hotel is "old",room is little. Hot water is pretty much inexistant in the bathroom. The room was dusty. There is apparently no self-laundry service in Kalampaka.
