Good experience with Sisters Totti in Kalambaka. The hotel is about 15 minutes stroll from the railway station, very close to the centre as well as the beginning of the hiking path to the Meteora. We met only one sister - our host - who lives in the establishment. She was very kind, gracious, smiling and helpful offering us with free maps and useful tips for visiting Meteora and Kastraki. all reviews » The hotel is perfectly located: 5 minutes from both Railway Station and Coach Terminal, in the centre of Kalabaka and yet very close to the hiking path to Aghia Triada and Aghios Stefanos. Our room was large, bright and had modern furnitures-equipments and a large balcony. The breakfast they served was good and satisfying. The two landlady-sisters and their niece were very helpful and gave us all the indispensable information to visit Meteora. Very well situated in Kalambaka, which I strongly believe is a better starting point to the Meteora than Kastraki; the road to Meteora was just 4 Min. from Toti's. Rooms are clean and cosy which you can consider as a general review of the place. Great value for the money. It was a pleasure to meet the members of the Toti's family, good people and they run it very professionally. I'll definitely like to go back again one day. We were given the room with the best view on Meteora (which was very kind of one of the Toti sisters) but this room turned out to be twice as small and not as comfortable as the other rooms. On the flip side, the breakfast is so-so, and can be improved significantly. It consists of just toast, cheese, ham, juice and coffee/tea. On top of it our host's absent-mindedness resulted in us not getting cheese and ham the second day. In the bathroom, there is no place to hang towels which is a bit of discomfort. Then the room does not have any waste basket. But overall, we had a good experience of staying there and will recommend it to future travellers. Wifi was a bit slow on third floor. The shower was tiny and water got everywhere because there was just a curtain, but a minor inconvenience. Balcony was with a town view instead of rocks, reception works from 8 am only, so, you cannot leave earlier, but you are in time for opening monasteries (at 9 am). - There were some mosquitoes. nothing at all. the bath room is small. Staff not too polite. poor breakfast, one might well miss it. uncomfortable beds, touristic city, expensive restaurants. none. There wasn´t a lift to the last floor. It could be difficult for old or handicapped people. It's quite noisy in some periods ( a little bit noisy hallways...). noises. The breakfast was very simple, not a problem as alternatives are available nearby. the walls are a bit thin...a few people talking loud next door... I didn't liked the lights outside that stract mosquidos. no elevator the bathroom is small. Small rooms, but you can't expect more at that price. Nothing. The bathroom is too small. No lift. staff was not very nice. Hot water were not sufficient.
