Location, quality of room, breakfast spread. Staff is very polite and friendly. This was my 2nd visit to Munich and 2nd stay at Regent as well. Definitely Regent shall be my first choice whenever I am in Munich. very good place, near the downtown and Hauptbahnhof, very pleasant and excellent kind staff. Breakfast was very good and with a lot of choice. I 'll recommend that a very good choice to stay in Munich.

Breakfast was very good, great variety. Avoid 8-9:30am if possible - very busy.The hotel was clean, if in need of a little refresh. It's location was ideal as it was just a short walk from the station, while the recommended restaurant 5 minutes up the street served amazing traditional German cuisine. Perhaps a little overused, the shower head (metalic chrome finish waspeeling) and wooden furniture caused me to get a few splinters.Otherwise the stay was very pleasant.I stayed in Regent, because it was discounted from 445 EUR to 75 EUR. So I wanted to experience luxury hotel. Unfortunately for the price of 445 EUR I would expect that hotel will have renovated elevator, and you feel real luxury. I havent such a perception of it. But for the price of 75 EUR I was satisfied. Breakfast was crowded.The bathroom door was terribly warped and bent at the bottom. Its the only thing to look at when you are on the can. single room is narrow but facillities is fair. small room for the breakfast. The lift is too small.it would be better to have traditional double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together. The heater can't be regulated manual, so sometimes is too hot and sometimes is too cold. Too narrow elevators. Toilettes in the rooms are quite.. not modern. Hot-cold water is regulated in some strange inexplicable way...would have greatly preferred a traditional double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together. The hotel was run down.wos a bat smale in the bathroom. Internet access is really expensive and not reliable. Elevators are difficult, mini bar not stocked (no water). Noise from the street, even with windows closed. It could be convinient to suggest free-of-charge Internet access to guests. At reception I received information that I can use swisscom, but the prise about 20 EUR/day I considered a little bit unreasonable. Fortunately, there was NETGEAR wifi connection that was free but a little bit unstable and slow. I was given a smoking room although I had requested a non-smoking room. It did smell as a smokers room. For my standards the hotel is fine but it I would not consider it as a 4 star hotel, rather a 3 star.
