Turkenstrasse 50 was in an incredibly good location, perfect for 8 friends needing a place to stay while attending their show at the Handwerke Messe. Facilities were basic, but we had everything we needed and had a good wi-fi connection. Beds were very comfortable. Cheap, good location. Enough space for comfortably living there with 7 good friends for a few days. Very basic furnature but was ok for us.

Spacious. good location BUT... The apartment could do with some maintenance to tidy it up. Roadside room gets a lot of noise drifting up from the restaurant below. Despite beeing told that the apartement had to be paid in cash it was charged to the credit card! Be aware of that!!!. It was very hot, but when you open the window it is too noisy even at night, because the room faced the street. Once at night Wifi did not work. Every thing was perfect. Extra charge for late check-in. Litlle bit late check-in - around 4 PM. broken bathtub faucet. everything was fine. very late check in (from 4pm), check in only after call to the office. Nothing. 1.Waiting time too long to get the keys even informing one hour in advance. 2.No tourist guide/map available in the apt. 3.No clear instruction for handing over keys/ garbage disposal & also, emergency nos. like fire service,police,ambulance were available. Sheets were smelling weird actually that was our only problem, had to put towels on top of pillow cases and leave the windows open all the time. The bathroom was very mouldy because of poor ventilation. There was not enough crockery in the apartment for 4 people. The front door was somehow screwed together and could have maybe been pushed open easily and one window was taped shut. Maybe if the state of this apartment was known, alternative accommodation could have been arranged. Unfortunately we arrived to late to express our concern. Bed smells horrible, we took our own pillows, though it didn't help much. Incredible, why don't they change it? Noise from the street. I have emailed about the problem. I have had money taken from my bank account without my authorisation for a payment I knew nothing about from I apartments. Sadly your team hasn't even attempted to contact me regarding this issue after I raised it with them and I will not be giving go apartments a good review as we all felt very let down by the service we received. Anyone thinking of booking here I would recommend a hostel or hotel instead. Check-in procedure was farcical and I waited almost an hour to gain access. Various wires hanging from walls, broken bed (which someone came and fixed) towel rail hanging off wall, bathroom light switch missing, generally a very poor level of decor for such an expensive rate (£600+ for two days). I have stayed in more luxurious hostels. A little disappointing and far from the photos presented on the site. This apartment is hidden in a block of apartments rented by monthly tenants. Its difficult to find with no reception or any facilities one would expect. It was SO bad - no hot water or heating in minus 10 degree temperatures for 3 days, and smelled of cat piss - you need to take them off your recommended list - the other 2 bookings with you on this trip were great, as usual (Berlin and Nazare, Portugal).
