  The hotel was fresh, clean and new with efficient friendly staff at a brilliant budget price. The room was spotless with comfy beds which were cleaned and made up despite us only staying 2 nights. The layout of the room was very clever and made excellent use of the space making the room feel bigger despite a double, single bunk and cot being prese... what people say » nt. - It was a great place to stay for what we needed and staff was very friendly and helpful, price was right, our only complaint was that we didn't realize it was out of Bayeux approx. 4Kms and we didn't have a rental car (and there weren't any to rent in town) so we needed to taxi everywhere and that got a bit pricey.

  I can't say enough good things about La Naomath. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and just a few minutes' drive to the town center of Bayeux. The cottage was so cute, roomy, very clean, and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, even bringing us breakfast on our first morning as we had arrived after the stores ... what people say » had closed the night before. (We were staying in the self- catering cottage where breakfast was not included). They refused to let us pay for all the - We liked everything. The owners were very nice and friendly. We stayed in the family room which was quite large (one large bedroom and a sitting room). It had one full bath with a shower and another room with a sink which was helpful. The garden was beautiful. It was very peaceful and quiet. It was a perfect location for the D-Day sites (you must have a car). The breakfast was good. Everything was clean and tidy.   A friendly family run manor house with the owner being very helpful but not 'in your face'. A quiet location but convenient for Bayeux and the Normandy region. The accommodation was quaint rustic French cottage type which added to the character of the place and the visit.   Vincent and his family were so warm and welcoming into their several hundred year old "fortress". It was beautiful. We are American but live in Italy and travel a lot for work and leisure. This was one of our favorite places to stay. From the kindness of the owner, to the incredible food and decorating, to the beautiful views, (I could go on).... ... what people say » If we come back to this region, we will stay here again.   An excellent short stay holiday, the setting of the Chateau was idealic, staff were very helpful and welcoming. The walk to Bayeux was approx 15-20 minutes along residential roads, so whilst not suitable for those who are unable to walk this distance, for us it was part of the charm of the holiday. The choice of restaurants within Bayeux is excelle... what people say » nt, and there are plenty of places to see. - The chateau was absolutely beautiful - from the front and back gardens; the breakfast room and food; the bedroom was well-designed, bright and clean; the bathroom was modern and very clean -- and the staff were hospitable and friendly.
