The hotel was fresh, clean and new with efficient friendly staff at a brilliant budget price. The room was spotless with comfy beds which were cleaned and made up despite us only staying 2 nights. The layout of the room was very clever and made excellent use of the space making the room feel bigger despite a double, single bunk and cot being present. It was a great place to stay for what we needed and staff was very friendly and helpful, price was right, our only complaint was that we didn't realize it was out of Bayeux approx. 4Kms and we didn't have a rental car (and there weren't any to rent in town) so we needed to taxi everywhere and that got a bit pricey.

Grill restaurant next door excellent and you got 15% discount for staying at the hotel. Functional, spotlessly clean and comfortable this hotel provides everything we needed for an overnight stay in an efficient manner. Do not be put off by the word 'budget' in its title other hotel chains could learn from this place. The ibis budget Bayeax was budget friendly, had good air conditioning and comfortable beds, and was next door to a nice restaurant which stayed opened until 11 pm. It was very close to the Bayeux Tapestry and D-Day beaches. Price was great, very clean, comfortable beds, good (but small) shower. 15% off coupon for restaurant next door. About 3 miles from Bayeux and the sights and restaurants, but a 6 minute drive. Dont follow your sat nav religiously--it will take you past the hotel to the far end of the street address - 3 miles into Bayeaux. Hotel is the one actually signed immediately off the RN. Noticed we were charged for double occupancy although my friend and I were singly occupying separate rooms!. Nothing. Cost cutting at the toilet and shower doors. Nothing. Unfortunately, no hairdryer in the room and wi-fi is very slow. That there were no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. This would of been useful, especially in the evening. There was vending machines... But you can't beat a decent tea/coffee. Rooms are small, which is to be expected. But, clean and comfortable. The hotel was not clearly sign posted ftom Bayeux direction and difficult to find!. Need car to get there. Street address not in GPS as of sept 2013. Hotel feels like a "facility", not home-y. N/a. Breakfast was very basic, crowded, bread, coffee, cereal. It was only 5 euro so we felt it was ok for the price. Poor wifi signal upstairs, and I was asked to leave the breakfast room while sitting in their for improved wifi because I had a drink of my own. I explained this to the girl at the desk, and she offered me to stay. No tissues. temperature in room too warm. Showers were poor and didn't realise until too late that they are not in a separate room but next to the bed..........ok for 'couples' but not when with colleagues......had to get another room because of this. it would be helpful if you had at least one or two chairs somewhere in the room. It is a bit far from the Normandy landing sites we wanted to see, but not too bad. The eating facilities beside the hotel was terrible the vegetarian option was a pack of vegetables which hadn't been defrosted properly and were cold, overpriced even with the hotel discount would not use again!.
