This place is amazing - the rooms are luxurious (we especially loved the Victoria room, with its massive bathroom and shower), Alain is the most genial and interesting host. Breakfast is full of homemade treats - and good coffee!
This is essentially a family home/estate which has been lovingly restored.
The area and the town of Azay-le-Rideau are very beautiful, and convenient for visting wine producers too.

The location is very central. The hotel room was very quiet, with a tranquil view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely fitted. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, and responded to my requests very effectively. The public parking was just across the street.

This is wonderful and charming place! We really were in the village of France . Clean air, beautiful views. This place near to Chateaux of the Loire, about 20-30 minutes by car.
The owners are very hospitable, fine people. We did not expect so warm reception! The breakfast is easy but very tasty. A lot of jams were prepared by the owner Patrisia.
Room is clean and comfortable. You can use the kitchen if it was needed for you.

The hotel is modern, well furnished and clean.
The concierge is really nice and speaks really good English (which in France is a really big one!). He was also pretty helpful and froze our cooling packs for us and everything.
The room was perfect for two persons and the bath was big, bright and clean.

As always this hotel provided exactly what was required for an overnight between England and the South West of France. Friendly reception, clean comfortable rooms and breakfast. The restaurant over the road where evening meals are available is under new management.

For a two star hotel this was much better than we expected. The owner was friendly and spoke very good English. The facilities were basic, blanket on bed instead of duvet, but very clean. TV, shower, hair dryer, and most important private parking. My advice is to pay the extra for breakfast, you won't be disappointed, it was better than one we had

We took advice from this website and did not book a hotel in the town due to parking problems. This hotel is just across the river - a five minute walk to the town centre and with a great view of the castle on the way. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
There is a lift up to the chateau from the town - the site is well worth a visit.
