We had amazing time at B&B Dochavert. Location is perfect, only 10-minute walk to the old city and restaurants.
This is a very beautiful B&B, hosts are the nicest people. They met us with champagne and snacks. Gweni was very helpful, she recommended few great restaurants in Carcassonne along with other beautiful places to visit while we were in Languedoc.
The property is gorgeous with beautiful views of the castle and countryside. We had great breakfast with the most marvelous variety

This was exceptionally good. From the welcome, to the room, to the food. All were excellent. It was the little things, such as access to a community fridge with wine and water, that made the stay of one night really enjoyable, homely and friendly. This small private guest house was very comfortable and well placed a short stroll from the main attractions. The on street parking was ok as it's on a quiet side street. Myriam served us an excellent breakfast in the garden.
The guest's roof terrace offers great views across to the old Cite. There are hundreds of places to eat in the evening we found the Jardin d'ete excellent, great pizzas and a good ambiance within a walled garden just below the Cite walls

Paul, le Patron, is a very hospitable, cheerful, helpful and friendly
host. In addition he is a superb chef. Aux Quatre Saisons is worth a
visit just for dinner alone. The price charged for dinner there should
probably be at least three times as much as Paul charges and would be in
any Restaurant with any reputation; 6 splendid courses with appropriate
very well chosen wines, all inclusive. This is Michelin star cuisine.

We received an excellent welcome from the owner who supplied us with full information about the area which we wouldn't have got from a travel book.
The chateau has been restored into a contemporary hotel with excellent fittings and wi fi. Our suite was very large, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is about an 8 minute drive from Carcassonne. It is worth visiting the Canal du Midi at Trebes and the picturesque Legrasse.

The apartment was excellent. Exceeded our expectations. The balcony is great and the view is spectacular. The space in the apt is great, but might be a bit tight for 6 adults as there is only 1 toilet (2 bathrooms). I would stay here again if I come to Carcassonne. -
