This little boutique hotel exceeded our expectations on every level. The rooms are small as expeccted but incredibly efficient and well-appointe. all reviews » From the moment we arrived and throughout the visit, the entire staff (Christelle, Manu, Gulllaume, and our wonderful food server, Betty) were friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The room was perfect, the bathroom more than large enough and the location was within 5 minutes of a metro. Also within a 5 minute stroll, we found SO many restaurants, bars and a market to satisfy our every need. The breakfast for 7 euros had WAY more food than we could find in any restaurant in the . We like this hotel and the location, right across a lovely square. True, it's a bit far from all the places you want to visit as a tourist in Paris. But, the neighbourhood is worth exploring, too. Many good restaurants around and not so expensive as in other areas. We booked here for a week and then we decided to go back there for a few nights before taking the plane back home after our days in Provence and they were very kind to give us one of the best rooms in the hotel (at a lower price). We. A great little Paris hotel, newly renovated from top to bottom with lots of nice design and comfort touches. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to accomodate guests and make them feel comfortable. I had a pretty room with a comfortable beds and even a little seat and table to sit and work at. Paris is already known for being a walking city and if you believe things are too far to walk, the metro bus a block away will drop you off at the steps of the Eiffel tower. The neighborhood could be a plus or a minus. It's not very far to Bastille or the Marais, but the immediate neighborhood is not really in the center of things. The elevator is not very reliable. Tiny lift goes to halfway between floors so then must walk either down or up 8 steps. Paris taxi drivers claim not to know the name or location of the hotel. They were all crooks, without exception. Charged 10 Euros for less than 10 blocks by driving around in circles. Don't let their gps fool you. They set it to mislead. A little too far from the major attractions although it was very close to the stations. The lift stops between each floor and you have to walk up half a flight of stairs to get to your floor, It didn't bother me but may be a problem for people with very heavy luggage or pushchairs. Nothing about the hotel itself. Obviously rooms are bit smaller than what we would like for that price when comparing to other capital cities, but honnestly much more fair value for money than most of the places we tried in Paris downtown. I hope they don't jack up the price because of this comment, though !. It was a little outta town BUT the subway was very near. They hadn't counted on the fact that it was a public holiday & didn't have enough food(bacon & eggs)for breakfast...but we forgive you!!. Pay additional for breakfast. Rooms are relatively small. The mattress was a little lumpy/uneven. Could step up the luxury just a little - maybe staff could open the door for people, help with luggage, etc. The man behind the desk sent us on a bit of a random trip to a restaurant that didnt exist where he had circled on the map. There was nothing I didn't like. Room was a little on the small side but plenty adequate for our needs. Sad that there was a plumbing leak in the bathroom, but we don't blame anyone for that. Nothing!. That the elevator did not stop on our floor but a few steps before or after; but this was a minor detail as it only affected us with our luggage when we arrived and left. I would still go again :). Not a lot however due to our limited French having all television program's in French was difficult. The price of breakfast was a little expensive, and the room was a little small. smallness of elevator, two people Australian size hardly fit! but that was fun too. Staircase seems to tilt it feels like falling (staircase needs to be used as elevator stops between floor, e.g. between 5 and 6. floor). Nice quiet location but further out than expected and also the metro line nearby was not good for access into the centre of Paris. Breakfast as with most hotels is best avoided and therefore eat out. It is in a pretty calm area, so it wasn't as bustling as I would have liked. The room is really little and the Hotel was a little too noisy ( elevator, air coditioning and rooms door). My room has the view on the internal courtyard with a wall two meters in front of my windows. We found the room very small but realize that is normal for a hotel in Paris. The room was a dark colour for such a poorly lit room...it had a small window with no view. Confined spaces (at the same time, that's usual for Paris indoors so no hard feelings:-)!. The rooms we a bit small and the Bathrooms were tiny. Breakfast very expensive for what it is. The soap. room might have been a wee bit bigger. Be aware that the elevator is aligned so there is a half flight of stairs up (or down) to reach the hallway to your room. Small, basic room, but this was expected for the price. the lift is just too small. Check out at 11????. Bed was a bit uncomfortable this time because of two twins pushed together. There is no fridge in the room. The only down side was construction going on near by which was noisy in the mornings however that had nothing to do with the actual hotel. Cannot think of anything.
