  This hotel is a jewel right in the middle of the vieux port area. Even if the bedroom is on the last floor above a minuscule courtyard (we reserved late), the first sight when one steps out of the hotel is literally breathtaking. From these rooms after 8 pm you get a nice view on the street that is closed for public traffic and made a long pedestrian zone with musicians and artists and a lot of people. The rooms are modern and really clean. A lot of great restaurants are along the street. It's worth to take a nice walk around the little harbour and through the old city.

  The hotel was just far enough away from the centre of town to avoid any noise and traffic problems, yet within easy reach of the harbour on foot via a pleasant route along the seafront.   The staff were absolutely fantastic. We were greeted with a smile, and my inconcsistent French speaking skills were not a problem. The lovely woman even gave my young son a new nickname! My wife and I were both impressed with the size, and comfort of the room. Bright and airy with hot/cold air conditioning controlled from the room. LaRochelle is such a beautiful city to explore, lots of lovely cafes + restaurants, lovely shops. Beautiful buildings as well as the beach.
