Pascaline, the owner, was incredidly friendly and helpful, and it felt as if we were visiting an old friend - or more: we really felt at home!   Sandra, the owner, couldn't do enough for you. One of the most happy and helpful propreiters I have ever come across and on more than one occasion Sandra went above and beyond the call of duty for my group. Very impressive lady with a big heart. Even if Les Houches is a bit outside Chamonix (8 km / 5 mi) the advantage is that it is cheaper

Bus stop within a few minutes walk to access the whole valley, restaurants within 15, a supermarket within 25 minutes. The room is nice and clean, definitely better than what the one-star rating would suggest.   It is a new chalet, decorated and equipped very nicely. The family that run the place is exteremly nice and plesant. They spend extenssive time providing us with detailed information on the region and very helpful tips on hiking etc. It was a great experience and i warmly recommend it.
