  The reception of Mike is outstanding. HIs professionalism, warmth, friendliness and his suggestions for dining or going on tours is fantastic. Very good mattresses and pillows. Good breakfast and excel - We really enjoyed this hotel. It was close to everything and Michael at the front desk was extremely helpful. If you don't like Michael, you probably don't like people. He was great for info and anything we needed. We always enjoyed our interactions with him. Room was spacious, a bit dated, but the building itself is very fitting for the town. Not 5 star, but a very nice place. Loved the location. Room was clean, just needs an update is all. I would stay here again.

Breakfast was good, the fruit bread was - The owner, Mairie, was wonderful - came out to lead our car in after we had gotten hopelessly lost in Avignon's narrow, confusing streets. She was helpful in countless ways and was a gracious host. Our breakfasts were more than we expected: the usual coffee, juice and croissants, and cheeses, figs from her garden, jams and yogurt. We'd head back again in an instant!

  The lady on reception was very helpful. A good basic hotel for the price, especially at Festival time in Avignon. The walk in to Avignon was unexpectedly pleasant with a cycle track running beside the river.
