  This hostel is really well run and it's paid off. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great - there is a pool table and a common area, but it is very quiet after about 10pm. We stayed at the hostel twice and both times extended our stay - - Very friendly staff, every time we came back (which was a lot as we used Quito as our base) they remembered us and gave good information about how to get to our next destination, places to eat and when they didnt have a room one day they recommended other places to try. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the internet is good!

  We were two women friends traveling together. Gloria, the manager/proprietor, met us and made us feel at home right away. She offered the use of an adjoining room, for a bit of extra money, and that additional privacy made the stay nicer. Fortunately, we were there on weeknights, so the street quieted down completely at 10 PM. The street lights, - Location! Located on colonial cobble/no car access street. Blocks away from Center. Friendly/helpful staff. Driver from hostal waited almost an hour at airport after our plane was delayed. Did not expect him to be there. Great restaurant on site for dinner. Best hot/sweet wine ever!

  We arrived quite late at night and Omar, the Casa operator was there to greet us and quickly showed us to our rooms and offered us water and we were settled in before we knew it. The next morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast by Omar and his wife. We decided to change rooms and moved into a lovely top floor room which also had a sitting ar... what people say » ea. This place has a terrace with a mini bar and has the best view of the whole of Quito. We recommended the place to fellow travellers whom we met al - The family that owns the hostel is very friendly, and endearing. They made my stay there so pleasant! I stayed in the "Junior Suite" on the top floor. It was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was excellent, the view from the Mirador on the top floor was amazing, and the location was also very good. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Quito!
