  Nu house hotel is located right in the nightlife action are of Quito - in the Foch. There are great bars, restaurants and shops around which is brilliant. The staff were incredible. They all spoke excellent English and really helped us when we needed to arrange a car the following morning to Mindo and answered all our questions. The room was spot - This hotel is located right in the heart of the entertainment area. Coffee houses, restaurants and shopping was just a minutes walk away. Some wonderful parks were within 15 to 20 minutes walk and it was super easy to get a taxi anywere you we wanted to go. The tour buses also picked us up at the front door, which was a big plus when going on day trips. Staff was very nice, but didn't go out of there way to supply maps of the area, suggestions on where to go, etc. They did speak a little Englis

  The staff were very helpful. They have their own taxi's so you know you are not being ripped off. The views across the valley and from the restaurant are fantastic. They booked - The rooms are wonderful and very well equipped. For Quito it is a great location for travelling around and also the staff are excellent. The garden and spa area is lovely. My husband and I both had a massage and jacuzzi which was fantastic. This is the best place to stay in Quito. The hot water bottles in the bed were a lovely touch.

  We stayed in Quito for 2 nights waiting for our flt back to US. The area is a mix of commercial and few hotels. Safe to walk in daylight but use caution at night. It is a couple of blocks from the Plaza Foch area with all of its bars and restaurants. Very fun and lively area. The hotel is just OK. What you would expect from the price. There is no coffee - Comfy beds, quiet room (twin suite #514), good wifi. It was just a short walk to the main square. Great place to overnight as we travelled to airport in the morning. Taxi took exactly 1 hour to new airport leaving at 7:30 am. Sad to leave Ecuador but our 90 day visa was up. This was a modern, western style hotel very different from the boutique places we had generally been staying in, but a good comfortable place to leave Ecuador from.

  Great location - we walked to the main city park and a wonderful modern shopping mall. Also the soccer stadium is next to the mall, so we got a real taste of sports in Ecuador! We had to book 2 separate rooms in our other hotels for double the price! Great deal for families! - Excellent staff, really took care of us. We had a late night flight back to the US and adhered to the 12:00 checkout time, we went to various sites but finally came back to the hotel about 5:00 to wait for an 8:00 pickup (arranged by the hotel) to go to the airport. The manager noticed us sitting there and gave us a suite to use until our pick up ( no charge). Breakfast was great and our suite was superb.

  The front desk staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful. Taxi service was provided quickly, we were able to store excess luggage securely until our return and room 302 was a delightful surprise. Unfortunately we didnt have this view from our room. Rooms were really clean (just dated - a bit 70's like but not too bad). Staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. Good location in my opinion, very short taxi ride to historical centre and the marical sucre. Also we were surprised that the area around the hotel is extremely safe.

  Staff were very helpful. They did a excellent job of making us feel comfortable in a foreigh country, and tried to fill our every need. This is an Ecuadorian owned hotel, I believe, and part of our experience was how gracious and helpful the staff were. We stayed 7 nights in a suite (303), which was spacious and provided a large desk area and a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave.   This was a lovely small hotel right in the historial centre of Quito. The staff were superb - very friendly and helpful - and the breakfasts were lovely. The location was excellent - right by the cathedral square. It is a quiet area that felt safe to us - in fact there were lots of police around, which helped. There were plenty of restaurants and ... what people say » cafes, although some of them shut at 6 or 7 in the evening. The sfaff advised us on where to go to eat, and they would have prepared a meal for us in - This is a small - privately owned hotel with great rooms, nice people, fine breakfast and in the middle of the old town. The house used to belong to one of the former presidents and it is beautiful inside. From the outside it looks like nothing and you have to ring the bell to get in. We would definitely stay there again.

  Fantastic small hotel in a quiet area yet close to shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff who speak excellent English. Roof top area with coffee, tea and chocolate is a lovely place to relax. Good selection of food on the breakfast buffet. Very good and reliable wifi.
