  The apartment is just great! The location is great (once you've settled in as it took quite a walk from the tram stop to the place) as it's right there below Charles Bridge. Jan, the owner, was very helpful though she doesn't speak English at all. She called her son to help us with the info we needed.   Absolutely loved this hotel. Didn't know it was a renovated convent. Very close, but extremely quite location. 3 minutes to the castle and about 5 to the St. Charles Bridge. Perfect, newer, quiet, clean and restful. I highly, highly recommend this hotel. I especially LOVED the breakfast area...3rd floor attic with tons of character.   After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.
