This hotel is right on the square with incredible views of the Astronomical Clock, Our Lady Before Tyn Church, Christmas Market with its amazing tree and decorated bridge. We were in the middle of everything. Breakfast was also very good with such friendly ladies working there, cooking you eggs and meat to order. In fact , everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel at home. We had one dinner at their outside (in 20 degrees with snow but with heaters, warm blankets and super glu.
all reviews » Probably one of the best positioned hotels in Prague. Right on the square, with an abundance of restaurants and attractions, and easy walking distance to the Charles Bridge. The Heritage building had enormous rooms and high ceilings. In contrast, the bathroom (shower only in our room) had a space age feel to it. Good water pressure and quite roomy. The cave like jazz club under the hotel away from the bustle of the Square, was an interesting option for drinks and dinner with entertainment. Some rooms offered a fantastic view over the Old Town Square. The Breakfast was served in The Lobby Bar that turned out to be a comercial morning cafe with an internal entrance from the Hotel. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was first class. The Jazz Bar in the cellar provided live music every night, served well-priced good quality food, and offered discount and payment through the hotel billing process. The location was a positive for the hotel but also a negative.. It was great to look over the Christmas markets and watch the people/activities while in the warmth of our room however the noise of the markets and in the morning was annoying. The rooms are HUGE and the bathrooms are modern. Great room for a family - heaps of room and everything you need. Beautiful hotel, beautifully designed bedrooms and very spacious. Bathroom and shower very spacious also. Extremely clean. Breakfast delicious and plenty of it. also. Location of the hotel is excellent. Overall a hotel that we would re-visit and would recommend to stay here if visiting Prague city. Hotel's location is amazing. All major attractions are at walking distance. Large sized room and bath room, I havent seen this big rooms in any European hotel at this price. Staff is also very friendly and breakfast is really good. The hotel was very individual. The location was superb on the town square itself and in close proximity to lots of eating places. location , the square , historic value, helpful bell boys to carry heavy luggages from far ... Floorheating in the bathroom. Free WiFi. Bedrooms are very nice. Location. Nothing - I camn't wait to go back! We did have some trouble with the steps but that was due to our age. The staff made sure we did not have to carry our suitcases up and down. The hotel has not long been renovated. The fixtures are free standing, probably to protect the Heritage Building, and whilst there was ample shelving in the room, the hanging space was insufficient. Not difficult though to add a little more. Also another towel rack and soap holder, but these are just finishing touches. It is likely some of the rooms facing the Square may be subjected to late evening noise. Shower fittings were too low. The hotel is located in an old building and the floors creak esp when you try to walk quietly while children are sleeping!!! The doors could also do with some oil. Neither of these items however will stop us staying here next time. The noise coming from the side streets was a bit of a nuisance at times and temperature of the rooms was at times too hot and uncomfortable. The toilet roll felt a bit budget - this could do with being upgraded. Nothing. A little bit difficult to find initially but location made up for it. A lift would have been nice at the main entrance but this would be nit picking. The entrance to the hotel was a bit hard to find. We had to leave our key with reception each time we left the building!. I can't find the hotel easily because of no sign as 'Old town square hotel' and so many tables of a cafe in front of enterance of the hotel... When I got there, I thought that was just a cafe not hotel enterance.. Nothing. it's better to make plastic windows, because it is too much noise, even at night. We felt neighbours smoke and talks. We were "upgraded" to a suite which was the most disfunctional suite we have ever stayed in. Bathroom only had a bath with a HAND shower and toilet was just about situated in the bath! Room was far too big - my sister had a normal standard room with a view on the square and it had a walk in shower and was very happy. if you come with a car with heavy luggages, it would be very very hard to access the hotel. Not possible to adjust heating. No bath tub, just a (very nice) chower. WiFi not available for 2 days. In general just not the kind of amenities, professionalism, comfort, ... one expects for a 5* hotel. Hotel is 4 stars, no 5 stars, because restaurants are not the same company. Only has a reception. Bad air condition quality. Its goos 3 o 4 stars hotel. But i've never been in 5 start hotel that no has nothing. Breakfast is bad too. Price-value. Noise, amenities, breakfast,.
