We thought the staff, Xiao wei and Gu jie, were excellent. They were tremendously helpful to us and very friendly and caring.
It was very close to the main attractions of Beijing but in a very quiet area. We felt very safe.

Very close to Forbidden city, Behai park,Tiananmen and to the shopping street Wangfujing Dajie. We book a Grand wall, Ming tumbs and Olympic park trip at the hotel that was okay. The best value I ever received from a hotel! Clean, comfortable, nice little 'cute' gestures from the staff (cookies every evening at around 18:00 o'clock, morning Enligsh newspaper China Daily to your door, free minibar restocked every day). Location was super the city is wonderful. Why would you want to stay in the hotel anyway! So the beds were fine. Vieuw was a poster ( who cares) bathroom had multiple blurred windows between the room. I stayed with my brother and it was not inconveinient at all. The people are really helpful when you ask for assistance and they our trip great. The location of this hotel is fantastic as some of the main attractions in Beijing is all in walking distance. Great place and we would stay again.

By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis.
For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.
