We had a corner room with two windows and a balcony overlooking the inner harbor. The room was lovely with plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. The staff was also helpful and friendly. And the location -- harborside -- was perfect. A short walk along the water takes you into town, or you could ask the concierge for a complimentary ride. Wonderful hotel!. The hotel is only 15min.of walk to The Faimont Express Hotel and next to the Inner Harbour. all reviews » The hotel was beautiful, clean, and employees were very helpful. Our breakfasts were served by the windows overlooking the bay and harborside walkway. Sea planes, ferrys, pleasure ships, and walkers (many with pets) passed beneath us. We enjoyed the ambience. The view of the harbor from our room was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Our room with 910 and we found it of good quality. We definitely will be booking at another time. Location (close to everything downtown) and great views of Victoria harbor. The entire facility was first-rate from the rooms, restaurant, staff, parking convenience (extra cost). Would definitely stay there again. Very clean room, new interior. Nice and helpfull hotelstaff. Good locatie, near centre. Great restaurant, special compliments voor waiter Chris: you can see he loves his work and gives good suggestions for dinner. Friendly staff. Didn't like the fact that I had to run around to find a parking spot,and then,end up parking outside,and still paying for it,while the u/g parked vehicles paid the same as me. I wasted over a half hour trying to find a parking spot,and then ended up in a spot that I was not happy with. Blue Crab Restaurant food and timing of service (not the server's fault--caused by a communication glitch in the kitchen); signature crab dish was not served hot and was not very tasty; dessert took over one hour to be brought to the table; would not recommend to friends/family. There wasn't a thing wrong. Rooms need a bit of an update. Room never got made up for the second day. This is not a complaint, but more of an observation that the furniture in our room was worn (eg, prefinished edges of dresser and nightstands were worn through). Parking is expensive but a reality. Shower in the tub and water preasure not the best. I was disappointed not to have a harbour view, but the room was still decent enough. As a vegetarian, I feel the choice of food in the restaurant was a let down. Granted it was a seafood restaurant, but I think there should have been more choice for us non-meat/fish eating people. As a result, we dined elsewhere. Nothing, except having to leave!. The Juliette balcony. I would have preferred a better view from my room, looking straight into tge harbor instead of to the resudential area, but it wasn't a bad view. The first night about midnight, our door opened using a key pad, but was stopped by the safety chain. The people kept pushing the door to get it open and made a lot of noise. I got out of bed and yelled at them to go away (which they did). I called the front desk to complain and they seemed to know what was going on and apologized. We had a long conversation in the morning resulting in a complementary dinner at the Blue Crab. I had hoped to borrow a wheelchair for my mother. We have traveled before and the hotel usually has one to lend. We asked the front desk and she tried very hard to locate one for us but no success. Appreciated the effort. Nothing. Breakfast was below in the restruant was below par. Fitness room needs more cardio machines. Not very much. $20 extra for dogs and $15 for parking -- could parking not be incorporated into the nightly fee?. Wanted a water view and wanted 2 queen beds....felt it unnecessary to charge 20 for 3rd person....daughter. Cost higher than expected. maneuvering luggage through parking lot access was just stupid. The cost was too high for no breakfast. Also, we had hoped for a harbor view room but didn't want to spend the extra $40. As it was, our confirmation sheet showed $358, and on our way home we noticed we were charged $199 per night. So many dogs in the place - on the elevators.....and big dogs. I let some elevators go by so I didn't have to be enclosed with one or two big dogs. I would book a king or 2 beds next time as the one bed was a double at best. Housekeeping was a bit lacking. n/a. inflexibility of kitchen to provide late breakfast. expensive. Not happy about cost of parking. Harbourside view required an imagination and a few contortions!.
