Big room with seating area and full kitchen. Everything you need to create your own meals. Free parking a major bonus especially due to the location. Walking distance to downtown and major attractions. We took in the museum just a 3 minute walk. Amazing staff. Super friendly and helpful. Breakfast not fancy but enough for the morning. Coffee, cold hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit and toast. Coffee in the room as well. Free bikes great. Victoria is very bike friendly. Just be sure to wear your he.
all reviews » Location on edge of Inner Harbor in Victoria and the fantastic view from our corner room of the Harbor activities and the Empress Hotel. Our room was spacious and had all the basic amenities including kitchen facilities. The hotel serves a very good basic continental breakfast. It is easy walking distance to the center of Victoria in one direction and the outer harbor area and Fisherman's Wharf in the other. Service is excellent. It also is within very close walking distance to the Port An. The staff was very helpful and attentive but not pushy or nosy. Our room was keep spotless and we were close to everything. I was surprised at home luxurious I felt in this inexpensive hotel. Great view from our deck. Next time we may bring our car cause it also had free parking. I could tell no one went thru my things in my hotel room while I was out. - The staff were polite and helpful. - The hotel location was brilliant for someone visiting Victoria ( 5 min walk from Inner Harbour). - The free bicycle service was useful. - The room cleaner was very thorough. - The kitchenette was very handy and useful. The location was superb! We got off the ferry from Port Angeles and the hotel was one block away. East walking to absolutely everything. The staff was friendly and very professional. Add to that a really good breakfast and you have the best place for a Victoria visit,. Location is perfect!! Right by the water. Close to shopping, restuarants, walking along the water. Rooms in the back without that view might not be as attractive, but should still be more than adequate and retain the advantages of proximity to both beauty and major attractions. nothing. - After closing up our room one day, including sliding door to communal balcony, we found that this door was open when we returned to our room - possibly left open by cleaners. - The bed was a little worn and "saggy" - The continental breakfast each day could perhaps have included some cheese or ham ( or both). Nothing - my stay was just perfect!. Everything was pretty old to the point where there were even permanent indentations in the bed. The only window was the sliding door to the patio but it had no screen so leaving it open was a bit tricky. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Bed smelled stale.Older style rooms. Our only complaint was the sparse continental breakfast. No cereal, very little fruit (only sliced oranges),weak coffee. no real breakfast area. teapot leaked no fan in bathroom, but window is good. The thought of the lobby being closed after 9:30. Breakfast served too late, should be 6:30. Everything was great - no complaints. Unable despite opening windows to clear unpleasant odour in room. The continental breakfast was a bit sparse. sound insulation of the bedroom is not very good. Nothing at all. Older fixtures, little dated but didn't bother us at all. A great deal. Breakfast was rather simpel. nothing. breakfast was very poor Fridge needed replacing. Dirty hand towel was placed in the bathtub as requested if I wanted a clean towel and it was put back on the rack. Dirty coffee cup left on the table. Had to move the coffee machine to get to the outlet. Cramped space around bed and no place to place bathroom items conviently in the bathroom. Also I could hear every word in the next room. The continental breakfast was too basic. Furnishings are outdated and need to be updated. The bed sagged. Breakfast was very basic. The room was terribly disappointing. Smelled of cleaning agents for 2-3 days (I stayed for 4 nights). Consistently disturbed by walking and other loud sounds (including the shower) from other rooms. The headboard on the bed remains loose, permitting to bang into the wall whenever I sat up to read in bed. The value-price relationship for the room amounted to larceny!. Incredibly dated. Queen bed had two saggy troughs. Apparently this was a 60s motel that probably rented to families for a week. Funky kitchenette. Glad it was one night only. Totally it really needs massive renovation..... Building is old and smelly...... To be honest it smells piss and a nursing home....
