  Arrived late .. got a great service and a new and better room because the hostess (owner) had a "no show" Great room and so clean .. wonderful .. this is basically more a motel than an backpacker .. And try out the breakfast too .. served by her husband in the coffee shop. 2 hours disappear :-) easily . And the recommendations what to see ... Supe... what people say » r :-) . - Staff communicated very well before my arrival to sort out my booking and offer something suitable. The owner gets up to open the adjacent cafe and offer 'real' espresso coffee to those catching the 5 am bus to the ferry terminal for the Prince Rupert sailing at 0730. Not a money maker but a much appreciated service.

She was downstairs at 4:30 with breakfast, and conversation. We had an excellent night's sleep in spite of having to get up so early!

  Chris and Gord were the most welcoming hosts one could imagine. Collecting us from the airport, giving a small guided tour of the local area and arranging the pickup the next day were all added bonuses, but to be invited to join them for dinner that night was outstanding. The suite is well appointed and their property is perfectly located We could... what people say » not recommend Telco House highly enough - don't stay anywhere else in Port Hardy! - Owners are really nice people and did everything that they could to make our stay comfortable. They arranged to collect us from the Port Hardy Airport and when our flight was delayed, the came back the following day to collect us.They also arranged for a shuttle to take us to the Inside Passage Ferry early the following morning.

  The hotel is able to cater to the guest no matter what time of day or night. The front desk may not be staffed when you arrive or leave but the key for your room is available as well as the invoice. The staff is very pleasant. - The room was very, very clean. We got to the hotel late and only wanted a good sleep, which we got. Nice quiet hotel... what people say » and nicely gardened.

  Convenient location - room was very large and clean - We like the handy location to the ferry and the main road. We liked being able to walk our dog in the countryside. We liked the price.

  They accommodate late evening arrivals re the Port Hardy to Prince Rupert ferry. I had double booked online and they graciously cancelled one booking without charge. - Friendly efficient staff, even though check-in was late at night ...late ferry. Breakfast cafe was very homey.

  Attractive, overall large accommodations! Lovely breakfast and interesting hosts. Big windows span the dining room + living room -- providing a great water & island view. Our "small-ish" but very well-furnished bedroom looked onto a nice back yard/green space. Friendly pets were a bonus. We will absolutely stay there when we are next i... what people say » n the area. - Hanz was such a good host, making tea for us when we arrived, and providing us with a wonderful gourmet breakfast, complete with everything homemade and fresh. It is a very clean b & b that is close to the whale watching that we wanted to do. The price was very reasonable, and the entire stay was above our expectations.
