Gio restaurant is amazing. Food and service is outstanding. The breakfast buffet and menu options at the Terrace restaurant is incredible. Staff at hotel are super-friendly and the pedestrian walkway to other buildings such as Scotia Square is a great plus. I really liked that there was a parking area which could be valet if needed. The rooms were great with free wi fi and in room coffee for those early mornings. restaurant was great. loved the daycore and the location is close to everything in halifax.
all reviews » Beautifully decorated for the Christmas Season! Cleanliness is very important to us! Friendly Staff! Shuttle service to and from the Airport and Hotel helped us tremendously. Wi Fi is wonderful for communication to family and friends. I loved the small details such as the soap dispenser near the sink and in the shower. The makeup remover pads, bottles of wine. The little details really make the hotel. Also loved the restaurant and thr executive lounge on my floor. Great location and very efficient, helpful staff. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The cost was a slight splurge for our budget but at least we felt we were given value for our money. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were spacious modern and clean. Check in and out was quick and easy. Close proximity to the tourist area. great convenient location, modern hotel with great value for money. Downtown location is both a blessing AND a curse. I liked the pool with its hot tub and sauna but found it to be a bit small if there were alot of guests swimming. Would suggest a few more chairs around the pool though. Wife has allergies to fish and scent. Chemicals was not a problem but she had to leave the dining area because of the aroma of fish. A personal health issue that can't be helped by your staff. She wasn't familar with the menu until we were seated. There needs to be an accessible outlet near the bed. I had to unplug the clock radio in order to charge my cell phone. I found that to be an inconvenience. Every hotel I have stayed in has had either a plug in the light stand or an extra socket on one side of the bed. My room had neither. The extra chage for pasrking was a bit steep. Otherwise, no complaints. Absolutely nothing. The lights of the building across the street shinning in my 2nd floor window. The Cost??????. Tv was a bit of a nuisance....slow to go through channels. Hotel wifi was a bit slow. Faster to leave connection through bell. Directions to the hotel when walking from the harbor are not easily found. Noisy party on Saturday night. Nothing. Pictures of the room online did not match room. Checkin and checkout staff can be borderine unfriendly - this observation after staying at the hotel more than once. Not necessary in an otherwise great hotel. Breakfast discontinued to early 10.30 am. Parking was a bit troublesome. The jacuzzi jets went off at 4:50am for reasons unknown. There was no water in the tub, and we had not used the jets at all. Nothing. parking should be included with rooms. a bit pricey. Had to pay for parking. No continental breakfast. Poor room heating. Decor, bathroom.
