I'm in my 40's and have never stayed at a hostel. Honestly
thought I would "have to make the best of it" but wanted to
try a new experience. Staff were very helpful and I met tons of friendly
folks to chat and spend the evening with. I would actually chose this
option in the future vs. Staying in a hotel if I'm by myself. Next
time I'd bring along a bottle of wine to share in the common room!

The room was very large and having a full kitchen and full size table was a plus for the cost of the room. We had 3 adults and 2 teen agers staying in our room and we did not feel cramped for space at all. The view was great. Room was very clean and staff were accomodating and friendly. Free parking and in a secure parkade was awesome as well. -

There is superstore and McDonald 24hrs across the street.
There is bus station in front of Tommy Romans just few meters away from the hotel. You can take bus 6 or 80 to reach southgate centre and metro station to take you to the downtown.

perfect for getting just about anywhere on the south side. We were at
the UofA and in rush hour it was a 25 minute drive. -
This hotel had renovations ongoing during my stay, and had notices
posted everywhere that if something was in the halls or if there were
loud noises in the day this was the cause. This was a big bonus for me
as then no one was left in the dark. The pool/hot tub was very
relaxing, and everything was in good repair. Will be returning.
