hotel staff. Great location on St. Catherine square. Maybe 1/2 mile walking from central area and other attractions.Free internet, comfortable, clean, good service. very quite although the hotel was busy. very friendly and helpful staff. wifi in the room. Youwould expect them to speak dutch but they do not. Not everybody of thestaff was willing to help you.Mattresses aren't comfortable. in the studio, which is for 2 people, there is only a sofa you can unfold, but not a double bed. No emergency lighting in corridor or lobby of room when the power failed for 2 hours. Escape would have been difficult in case of a fire, it was hard enough find way to stairs in the total darkness of the power cut with only a mobile phone for light. This may be because this is an appartment hotel rather than a full service one so different rules? Not safe. no. No cleaning services, old carpet, twin bed not double as requested, receptionist's inflexibility. The connection to the Internet was not provided on the day I left the hotel.the staff was a little confused when I have a cancellation of a night during my stay. our room was a smoking room although it said non smoking room. unpleasant smell.the bed was not comfortable and there is a lack of internet connections, only 2 computers which were constatly used by other guests. It's not really clean enough.On the down side, the building is kind of worn out, which shows in the unpleasant smell of the corridors, and the battered look and feel of the rooms. For a four-star hotel they seem to be under-staffed, so, although the staff are very friendly and helpful, things tend to take a while to get fixed. The corridoors and floor landings were far too hot, no ventilation apparent which meant when returning to my room in the evening my room was very hot. Area around the hotel rather scruffy.The stuff was not helpful and they wanted to charge the original price of the room because we didn't have the reservation number! They didn't even try to explain why.The carpets were stained and the blankets very old. Disinterested staff; awful way of ordering the taxi service (totally unreliable)...Renovation of room is needed. Brekfast is rather modest. it was cold inside, the heating was not going well. The old blanket on the bed was very off-putting. The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was not cleaned daily, thus no new towels were provided. Also, the internet was not WIFI and was unreliable.Cleaning should be done more often, especially if you are staying for a longer period. The first room was offered to me was in poor condition the walls were dirty the carpet much to used, the bathroom smelled. Then I received a second room where the heating didn't work. The third room was OK.Rubbish not taken out for 4 days (4 days nappies not good). Lots of open sockets, not good with toddler. Could they have socket covers available for families? We had to tape them up with our entire stock of sticking plasters!. I will have to say that I did not expect a fold out sofa bed but it was okay. I accept it is an apartment hotel however you would kind of expect that they would at least have basic tea and coffee facilities available in each apartment and maybe some bottled water available in the fridge for a cost but there was nothing at all. Even the cheapest hotels I have stayed at have this.whe must be transfered into a new appartment because eletricity default, (three times in seven days) and no warm water for one day in the second appartement the appartment was not ready at our arrival. yes, i had to change the room 3 times and didnt even get the room i had booked for. firstly, i asked and paid for a double room but when i got there the electricity kept cutting off so i had to change rooms. secondly, i was given a room that was filthy, somebody had booked out and it had not even been cleaned, not even the bed was made. thirdly, i changed to another room where i was given a single. poor quality furniture, miniscule TV, having to ask for soap every day, room not cleaned every day, no coffee or tea in the room, room balcony messy with cigarette butts. It is grossly overpriced, staff is quite rude, in my room the tv set wasnot working, the bed fitting was scruffy. Unfriendly staff who did not speak English, fold out bed did not work correctly, disastrously uncomfortable.
