We loved our three day stay at Hotel Welcome. It is delightful and while we considered many hotels in Brussels, we ended up at the best and are so glad we choose it. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, the accomodations are wonderful, great breakfast and the airport shuttle is a real plus. It is a most welcoming place that makes Brussels even better!. Great location - close to Metro station, within 15 minutes walk distance to Central Station. Crazy/originally equipped and decorated rooms - very creative. Very friendly and helpful staff. Relatively well working wifi - each floor has own AP. Both negative comments I consider sort of trade-off for stylish equipment, which is really unique.

It had a big bathroom and a huge jacuzzi bath. The location of the hotel was great as well. One of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed in. very warm welcome at the reception (what you can expect from the hotel's name), interesting rooms, central location (nearby in the former quays there are some fish restaurant) and good breakfast, good value for money compared to the Brussels' avarage. On arrival, the receptionist was very helpful on telling us were to go and to avoid. Allowing us to check in early, and the overall theme of the hotel.Breakfast was very good as an inclusive in room rate. Worth the stay. Unique. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The cleanliness of the room. The free & fast wifi. The central, safe and lively location with abundant restaurants especially fish. Ease of access to railway & main sites. Very friendly staff, lady at the reception gave me all the necessary info about Brussels.The room (Egipt one) was really big with perfect bathroom.location is just 20 meters from metro station, lots of fish restaurants around. While the room was small it was not claustrophobic as it had good lighting from the windows. We stayed in the Bali room, it was exotic, fun and the whirlpool tub in our room was wonderful.The staff were very helpful by email and in person. The tematic decoratiom is more exotic than I was expecting, but it was ok. My suite, Egypt, was nice, with a sunken spa bath, shower, sitting area, large corner sofa, and large double-bed. Very helpful staff. The location in the St Catherine district is perfect for access to restaurants and the old city centre. It also has a metro station. Friendly staff. Stylish Tibetan table was very narrow to work on it. Hunting for light switches - and when found, sometime got surprised, what it switched on. uncomfortable and small bed, there was a window on the bathroom door, but only with a grid, not glazed window, it was a bit strange and unusal. Shower cubicle could do with a bit of elbow grease to remove soap scum. Very little. Maybe a small cupboard for hanging some clothes would be good. However you are in Europe where rooms are small. Not a thing. n/a. Each room is decorated by a city theme. Ours was Istanbul and interesting but the room is very small and amenity is very minimum. Being at the top of the hotel, really nervous about escape in the event of a fire where access to the stairs would not be available. Happy to return but only in a room on the 1st floor. We had some problems with internet connection. We stayed for 6 nights and we were out of hot water for 2 nights. but I called staff and they fixed it after 15 minutes. Apparently, each guest room is decorated in the style of a particular exotic location. The decor was rather funky. The bed was OK, but not particularly comfortable (as other beds on our trip had been). But this is a minor criticism - overall the hotel was friendly and fine. Nothing. Breakfast was just ok (but included and a good value!). Without A/C, we had to open the window at night, which made street noise unavoidable. Bit noisy from outside. Sub-par breakfast, twin beds assembled in one in a "high-end" room. Rooms not too functional. The pillows!. Hallways and lift smelled of old food. Didn't like that. Down town so a bit noisy early morning. problems with getting hot water. No bar . Lift does not reach the fourth floor, which may be a problem if you carry large suitcases. U cant eat in the room.... So if u're hungry u gotta walk until the center of the city otherwise, u pay a fee. Over-priced Limited choice of English-speaking TV channels - with no BBC World News. Rooms were very small and need decorating.We stopped in another hotel in Brussels and 1 in Bruge which were cheaper and rooms much larger and better value for money. The hotel is shabby and smelly. The themed room decoration is tacky and poorly executed. The room itself was tiny. Its most likely to appeal to young backpackers. The breakfast is poor quality: dry croissants and fruit salad that was limp and tasteless.
