Great location, close to the train station and within walking distance of the sights of Bregenz. Hotel front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Our rooms looked out on some community gardens. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was very pleasant. Convenient parking in the hotel garage.
We arrived early (8.30 am) after an overnight rail journey from Vienna. We asked to store our luggage until check-in time but were immediately allocated a room.

I would say this was above average compared to other Ibis Hotels I have stayed in, room was a good size, bathroom tiled and felt classier than the standard Ibis fibreglass box bathroom.
This hotel is new and comfortable, currently an excellent value. However it does not appear to be well maintained, the cleaning is inferior and cursory.
Good quality of the hotel is exactly that one can expect from Ibis
brand. Hotel located in the city center and has private
underground parking.

the best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the lake, the Festival stages and the railway station.

The disposition of the front desk staff was extremely variable, ranging from competent and helpful to others who were bored and eager to step outside to the garage entrance to smoke. You are well advised to request a room as far as possible from the elevator, which during our visit made an annoying noise when the door opened and closed, easily heard in close rooms.

Although at 1st floor, the room was noisy due to the automatic garage door. It was not pleasant to wake up at 2am because of the noise.

Bedroom very compact as was the ensuite. With two large suitcases and two bags, we didn't have much room.
The entrance/bar area was too small and noisy to be relaxing. The bar staff had obviously never been told how to make a HOT chocolate ... it was cold and we had to ask for it to be heated, and then at the bottom at the end of the drink was a layer of undissolved powder .. it had never been stirred !!!.
Were given a small blanket, draped sideways on our double bed-- feet got
cold. Was late and too tired to go and complain. For light sleepers:
walls seemed thin-- small amount of noise could be heard.
Desk Staff too busy -- had to do bar duties as well as reception ; often, although friendly, could not answer basic questions about the city, or even know where the nearest mailbox was.
Breakfast buffet adequate, but no eggs except scrambled.
A bit spiritless. And overprized.
