It's just off the Kings Cross wasn't noisy at all. Downstairs in both sides super cute n very friendly little coffee shops with excellent service n superb breakfast. Hotel it self was smaller so not overcrowded clean nice decor with small kitchen n basic provided. Staff in reception very helpful always polite. We would recommend to stay in this hotel n area to everyone. Not far from city or train station plenty of shops markets n entertainment around. Two thumbs up!!.

Plenty of restaurants and bars in the are with great prices and deals. -Woolworths is literally right around the corner -They have an acceptable wifi price for the week. $45 unlimited access on multiple devices -walking distance to teh botanical gardens for a great run!. excellent service, very friendly and generous reception open to our wishes, nice room with all you need to feel well and comfortable, absolutly perfect location for us ideal for walking, shops around the corner. Great value, great location, would definitely recommend! Some of the complaints customers have made about this place are ridiculous - of course the street's are noisy - it's because the location is excellent!. A good little base for our stay,rooms are small but you don't go away to stay in your room! Staff helpful, having afridge,sink etc useful,perfect for a traveller. We stayed in Kings cross and we didn't need a vehicle to get around however, transport was only a walk away and all staff at the maisonette and train service attendants/ were great at giving clear information/instructions how to where to how much and so forth directions to where ever we needed to get to. Diffidently great for keeping up your exercise while on holiday lots to see plenty of stairs to walk up/down sorry "steep steps" restaurants, cafe fast foods galore. The location not too far from the train station was a big plus point for us. Although we have to walk through the heart of Kings Cross, we didnt find that too bad (despite its reputation).The staff were friendly and helpful and the room clean and looked after daily. We have stayed in worse places than this in France so on the whole we were happy with our decision to stay at the Maisonette. Convenient location for reasonably priced hotel. Few facilities but we only wanted somewhere to sleep. Can easily walk across botanic gardens to Central Sydney. Although Potts point is next to kings cross it is very different and a nice area. the receptionist was extremely helpful, giving us a free map with advise on places to visit, and also ordered the airport shuttle for us. good shower, microwave and tea making facilities. Location nearby cafes, city, train station. All within walking distance. Relatively calm compared to King's Cross area. Good location,near bus,metro station, or walking to the city. I paid extra to upgrade; the twin ensuite had plenty of space and bathroom was clean. the location was good. it was close to kings cross station and some restaurants. location was not too far from downtown, near to Kings Cross station. Location. none. the first room we had. The wifi was $12 for the day yet was completely unusable.. Probably due to another customer downloading torrents or something but QoS settings on their router would've helped this - and for the cost they absolutely should have that set up. The hotel also seemed to be in a Telstra and Vodafone blind spot so: if you need internet (and everybody does) you might have a problem. Our stay was too short. The room was basic but for the price it was good. Was not aware that the Kings Cross train station (which is the nearest to the hotel) was a red-light area. Not pleasant to pass through, especially if you have a young family. The hotel manager has no manner to handle with the cuscomer and needs to be improved. The hotel staff is helpful and flexible (Iveta). No hotel staff all day. No lift but plenty of help available. Having to pay extra for wifi, when most places I've stayed in offer it free. It was a bit noisy at night. Some broken fixtures. The only minor issue was no lift. can't really think of any bad points, apart from the wifi being a bit expensive with 15-20$ per day :(. Lack of air conditioning, but we knew that beforehand, So it was not a big deal. Charge for wifi. No free wifi. Shower tends to flood the bathroom. Too fast, too noisy for me...Maisonette was good but the bed was disappointing :( and stairs. The stairs I had to take my suitcase and baggage up to flights of stairs they were steep too but, other than that once you've checked in those stairs came in handy for exercise :). The room was a little small really for the price you pay. The bathroom was also a bit small and as a personal bugbear I didn't like that the toilet was right near the sliding door....it seems a bit impersonal especially when you have your wife and daughter pretty much right next to you in the room. It didn't help that the bathroom doesn't have a window to "let the fresh air in" if you know what I mean. I felt if it were at least $30 cheaper a night it would be about right for the room. our window looked straight onto the concrete wall of a hostel and was quite noisy late at night. poor lighting in the room. Small warm room, bad ventilation, sometimes too much noise from cooling system of restaurants (on 24/7). They clean the rooms only once a week. Our sight was A WALL. Initial (super-budget) room faced onto the next door restaurant's kitchen, with attendant aroma. Nowhere to put clothes or hang towels. they would come into your room and give you a new towel but didn't empty the bin or anything else. also there was a cockroach in my room. Hotel is very small, had not elevator, rooms small too, it had a kitchenette but everything in a very reduced space. Bathroom small too and old. Sheets were not changed daily. Dark room Looking out onto a brick wall Noisy area. No lift made it very difficult for me managing my suitcases up and down the stairs. weird smell, stained blanket. noisy guests at night. We were a week and never vacuuming the room. It was a bit dusty. Paying for WIFI when there was plenty of free WIFI available locally. hard bed cold shower. a bit dated, overpriced- but thats sydney for you. Poor bedding, no heating (we were actually cold, with all the blankets on available), inadequate towels and just what I would consider above-par in cleanliness. The blanket on the bed had stains on it, which gave a bad first impression of cleanliness. The room wasn't ready for 2pm check-in but staff were apologetic. Everything was horrible! The room is nothing like the photos!!! It had a horrible smell. There was mold in the bathroom. It was small. It is more like a private hostel room. I cannot believe I paid for this, it was a horrible experience and I would never go back! I will be uploading photos of how the room actually looks. No parking Staff confusing with details Bed uncomfortable Stair case narrow struggled with cases. Room was stinky, dirty, big noise from outside (restaurants down on the street), only one key for two people staying in the room, if you lose it, you have to pay 100 dollars so be careful. Hotel is suitable for backpackers, not worth of money you pay for it. You just get shower and small beds. If it is only you need then this hotel is for you. I stayed there twice. First time I had a stinky and smelly room full of cockroaches. Second time, a decent room without cockroaches. The same story with the staff. One person is very friendly and helpfully, the other one not very customer oriented. So, it's all about luck. Just a dive. Disgusting room , uncomfortable mattress , bad smells . At the time I made the booking there was a nice picture of the room I booked and eventually I stayed in something else . Crooks !!!!. Room service is poor, no one came to change my towel when I request to do so. No elevator, I carried my 45kg luggage without any assistance. The hair dryer wasn't in good condition. I was deeply disappointed by the service.
