Everything! We arrived from the USA east coast after traveling for almost 20 hours. Check-in was 3 PM but our flight arrived at 6 AM & we arrived at the hotel at 9 AM. We were tired beyond belief and the young lady at the desk (I believe her name was Cheryl) said she would see what she could do for us and in the mean time let us use the shower in the work out room. We got the city view which is also great! - Clean, modern bathroom - Location is great, right in the middle of Sydney city. Sydney is a walking city. It's not that big and you can definitely walk everywhere. It's a short distance from Hyde Park, Australian Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral(beautiful!) and the NSW Art Gallery. It's also a street away from King's Cross. We also walked to the Circular Qu. I loved staying at the Boulevard in Sydney. The location was perfect, the staff was great, and the room was wonderful with a great view. In America, hotel staffs are generally good, and they treat you well but in a business-like fashion. At the Boulevard (and other hotels in Australia), they treat you like family. When I left, I was ready to get back home, but I hated to leave the staff at the Boulevard. At least 3 with short walks (King's Cross, Museum and St James). No lack of public transportation options - bus, taxi, train. Difficulty getting ice for drinks. It was 31 degrees, Louise at desk suggested ask at café; café staff ok, but not delighted. Air con could have been switched on prior to our room access, given temperature. Having to leave after a great weekend. Could not find any faults. Minor things not even worth mentioning as we didn't ask to correct them. Not applicable :). I didn't like the 3pm check-in. Bathroom could do with an upgrade - it was dated and way behind the room and rest of hotel. No quality restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel restaurant service wasn't good. not a lot really... a very nice stay. On checkout I was asked if I had used any items from the mini-bar. I indicated that I hadn't. I was then questioned about a bottle of white wine. When I indicated that I had 'definitely not' had the said bottle, no questions were asked. There was no mini-bar list in the room for me to check when I arrived, so I did feel a little uncomfortable about the question. Buffet continental breakfast $22 -too expensive. Unfortunately my room was on the south side of the building so didn't get any sun. If I'd been able to get out and about this wouldn't have mattered but as I was confined to my room on the Sunday it was a little depressing. Nothing. Nothing. No robes in room as advertised. Request for wake up call did not happen. Room was next to lifts which were quite noisy. Cold showers very early in the morning on two occasions. Need a more comfortable lounge chair and more than one so we didn't have to sit on the bed all the time. Nothing. The default air conditioning was very warm in the middle of the night . Took a while to check out. Bathroom was small and had no fan so it fogged up the mirror! There was no parking for a van which caused some stress when finding out on arrival. We had a room on the 7th floor in the front of the hotel and there was a lot of noise from the cars and no view. Nothing springs to mind. Enjoyed our stay. Could do with more towel rails and hooks behind bathroom door. The room could do with re-decorating. No exhaust fan in the bathroom & had an over-bath shower. No balcony's or windows that can be opened. Our queen bed was 2 singles pushed together so slightly uncomfortable. The large bed was a bit uncomfortable, two beds zipped together with a lopsided mattress on it. A bit of a walk to get to some locations like China Town / Darling Harbour - 30ish minutes walk away. The Opera House was about 20/25 mins. -22 inch tv too small, with no digital channels -room too hot without air cond going almost constantly -bar fridge too small. Minor point - the bath tap didn't work.
