  I found the hosts were exceptional in making our stay extremely welcoming. The facilities were second to none. Rooms were beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable.   we stayed here for 1 night as a stopover before we went to Daydream Island. We arrived late at night and were given a very warm welcome. The apartment was very spacious and clean with lovely views. We would certainly stay there again. We just wished we stayed there longer. - My wife and I did our research before this trip. And wow did it pay off!! Service, cleanliness, information, and a fantastic commitment to customer service. It was my wife's birthday. I had been keeping a keen eye out for a bakery for a small birthday cake with no luck. Mandy had it all sorted for me. Thank you again. She was so surprised!!! Plus the massage therapist after a day of exquisite snorkeling/diving was a huge hit with the birthday girl!!

  We enjoyed a relaxing week in a beautifully 2 bedroom apartment. (All apartments have been renovated excellent shower and very comfortable beds) Difficult to fault any aspect of our stay. The owners are very friendly and would do anything to help,(Family Business) the location is excellent close to everything. We will be back for another getaway ... what people say » in the near future and would highly recommend Hervey Bay Colonial Lodge to family and friends. 10/10 - Kay,Peter and Michael were very friendly and helpful.We were scheduled to stay 3 nights ,but had to extend our stay by 2 more days ,as we were "trapped ' there due to the roads north and south being flooded following the aftermath of Cyclone Oswald.   Such nice, helpful people. We already noticed this last time we were here and that's why we keep coming back. Just before turning in we went outside because the moon had just set and there are no street lights here, nor any other outside lights for that matter, so we expected a spectacular display of stars. We just stood there in pure starlight and absorbed the spectacle above. Did - Great location near the sapphire mining fields. On arrival we found a very impressive setting for a stay in the country. The room was a very good size and great layout. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool and BBQ area. Also liked the laundry facilities with washing machine and drier, that we did not have to pay for - a bonus. Excellent value for money and one of the best we have stayed in in our 4 weeks of travel in Qld so far.

  I cannot express how much of a perfect time we had at Roydon. From the pickup at the airport to the transfer back to the airport, everything was just as we had wished for but better. Our apartment (111) was fantastic, overlooking the ocean and beach. It was spacious, clean and had every facility you could wish for. We booked our Quicksilver cruise to the outer barrier reef with him plus transfers from a bus stop 2 m - We have had the Appartement with two Bedrooms and balcony with Oceanview. The Sunrise was really great to see from the balcony!!!! The Appartement was very big and very clean. The kitchen is well equiped. We felt like home and Eddi was very helpful to orginized our day trips for us. The Roydon is located perfectly at the beach and for day trips around cairns (Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda .....). It is perfect to stay with Children.
