  Such nice, helpful people. We already noticed this last time we were here and that's why we keep coming back. Just before turning in we went outside because the moon had just set and there are no street lights here, nor any other outside lights for that matter, so we expected a spectacular display of stars. We just stood there in pure starlight and absorbed the spectacle above. Did - Great location near the sapphire mining fields. On arrival we found a very impressive setting for a stay in the country. The room was a very good size and great layout. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool and BBQ area. Also liked the laundry facilities with washing machine and drier, that we did not have to pay for - a bonus. Excellent value for money and one of the best we have stayed in in our 4 weeks of travel in Qld so far.

  Everything about the Port Douglas Motel was excellent! The location was excellent, it was immaculately clean and the staff were exceptional. One of the best hotel/motel experiences I've had. Not to mention that the price was unbeatable! I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay there. - Loved this place! They say more than just a motel ... what people say » and how true!   We really liked the large bathroom, the hot showers with a strong pressure, the very comfy beds and the quiteness of the position of the Sunray Motor Inn. The room was spacious enough that we didnt feel at all crowded. And the continental breakfast was perfect! Thanks to you both for a really great stay and we'll recomend the Sunray to our friends... what people say » for sure! Phil - We arrived at 2200 hrs and it was cold, but when we opened the room we found that the heater was turned on in advance for us. That was real warm welcome. Very friendly staff.

  I recently...Sept 14, and 15... had the absolute pleasure to stay at this motel. On arrival I was greeted by Kim as an almost long lost family member and he immediately made me feel WELCOME. The room that I booked as a single room and Kim straight away said that he was going to upgrade me to a larger room with kitchen facilities. I was surprise... what people say » d to say the least and I welcomed the gesture and accepted the upgrade with pleasure. Well all I can say about room number 5 was WOW. Most roomy...gre - The pictures and decor and large Tv and private outdoor area was an asset, but I was extremely excited to see the coffee percolator and ground coffee beans supplied. I have never seen that anywhere before, well done. Thankyou for an extremely enjoyable stay.
