Clean and tastefully appointed rooms. We were a mature couple travelling with our mature daughter. The owners son who I gathered worked on mainting the Motel was very pleasant and very much open for a chat whenever we encountered him which made us feel very much at home. i liked the location, the room, the kitchenette was great and the kitchen Sunbeam equipment was a bonus.
i cooked a lot of great meals.
the layout of the room was good,
it felt like home.
Laundry service was great.
and the Costumer service was FANTASTIC.
We came for 1 Night BUT we Stayed for 3 Nights Because we liked it so much.
Landscaping was great and the Herb plants on the gazebo ware a pleasantly useful.

Our Host and Hostess went above and beyond for us, offering to drive us to our friends wedding when we couldn't get a taxi, and baking us fresh banana bread for afternoon tea. Absolutely gorgeous location, excellent personal service, reasonable rates for the area and a very friendly dog that will greet you on arrival! We would definitely return.

We stayed in Thistle Hill for 2 night celebrating my partners birthday. I have visited Hunter Valley previously and have to say this Guesthouse is one of the top stays I have experienced. Beautiful decor with attention to details, Thistle Hill grounds are stunning, breakfast very tasty with great choice of food, and Carol's baked pears just delicious!! We will definitely come back later this year.

The country guest house schonegg was absolutely amazing. It is beautiful and luxurious with perfect rooms. It is run by spectacular people Richard and Evelyn who were warm and welcoming on arrival and lovely and helpful. The food is amazing and the views are stunning. Geoff and I love staying at Peterson's Armidale Winery and Guesthouse. We are repeat visitors and appreciate the ambience, the great staff, the food and the beautifully appointed rooms. The staff were very understanding when we couldn't arrive by 2100 because of a detour because of bushfires and were more than willing to make us welcome by leaving the key and fresh milk for a cup of tea when we arrived.
