Finding Thistle Hill was like finding gold! We had beautifully appointed accommodation Nd the grounds are stunning! The gourmet breakfast is to die for. Baked goods made on the premises! Peter was so,obliging and when we could not get a pizza delivered due to bad weather conditions, he prepared a beautiful cheese platter for us! We highly recommend this beautiful place and will definitely make it our base every time we go to Polkolbin.

I have visited Hunter Valley previously and have to say this Guesthouse is one of the top stays I have experienced. Beautiful decor with attention to details, Thistle Hill grounds are stunning, breakfast very tasty with great choice of food, and Carol's baked pears just delicious!! We will definitely come back later this year. I loved the attention to detail, beautiful garden and surrounds, luxurious bed and very comfortable accommodation, wine and cheese platter on arrival, the truly sumptuous breakfast, position in relation to restaurants and wineries and the friendliness and care shown by our hosts. Thistle Hill is a beautiful haven. Carol was amazing nothing was to much trouble for her. She made you feel at home. Thistle Hill Guesthouse was exactly like the pictures it definitely did not disappoint us. The rooms and surroundings were beautiful. We look forward to returning to Thistle Hill. Everything about it. It was very nice and calming to stay there and Carol puts her heart and soul into making you feel welcome and with her little special touches she provides. Eg gourmet breakfasts, homemade cake in your room and fresh flowers. Absolutely lovely place, worth going at least once in your life. very kind staff, comfortable room, yards and lakes just like paradise. 5 mins drive to most of the good veniyards in the area. will go there again in the future. The lack of road signs from the main Highway and the road works. seems the internet is not very stable, but once you are there, you won't feel like you wanna be troubled by emails. Whilst bathroom is adequate it is a little small. I cannot fault. Really a great stay. Nothing!. It was a hot day when we arrived and the pool was not cleaned to use. nothing. Nothing. Loved it!. Nothing. Will be back again!. nothing. No spa. The bed was a bit small. Slightly out of the way of the main attractions. Nothing. Wheelchair access around the grounds.
