  We were smack bang in the middle of the city so location was excellent. Easy walking distance to most things we were interested in visiting. I found the staff friendly and polite. Close to shops theatre, art centre Fedration Square and public transport. Bed was comforable, room clean and fresh, bathroom was new with good shower and loads of hot water. The cost of a three night stay was incredably inexpensive for its central city position. Not a luxury hotel if you want spa baths etc. but most definitely a good quality hotel for travellers who want a bit more than backpacker budget hot

  The staff were awesome. From the pick up & return to the airport by the hotel shuttle bus was a fantastic service. This alone would make me stay here again. Their night shift driver "JP" even dropped me to the nearest Tram so i could use a more cost effective way into the city. Yeah it takes longer but for $3.50 return by tram to the city is a... what people say » bargain, plus "JP" picked me up in the shuttle bus upon my return to take me back to the motel. This is a fantastic service. I would not hesitate to - myself and my new husband booked the wrong date we flew back into Australia,and at 11:30pm we were able to not only change it to that night-but a free shuttle came to get us!! the room was huge and so clean and bearly 5 mins from the airport. breaky was amazing and we even had a gym to go sweat some over eating from our hoiladay! the staff even helped us with a luggage scale so we could weigh our bags for our flight the next morning. i cannot say enough how amazing i found this hotel, and would

  After a long international flight the Mantra was amazing. We arrived late at night so only spent about 7 hours at the hotel. But we ha the best sleep. Just what we need prior to an early morning flight. We didn't know how to get the bus to the hotel however it was only a $11 cab ride. From the helpful reception to my room to the spa, my experience was wonderful. Having found a reasonable rate on Booking, I expected something fairly basic, and this pleasantly exceeded my expectations.   As I am currently in a wheelchair and had noted this in the instructions - I was delighted that they put me in a King room with a disabled friendly bathroom. This made a huge difference to the trip as everything was made so much easier. The gym facilities for my husband were fantastic - he really enjoyed that. Family vote - voted it our favorite Melbourne stay. - I found the room to be at an excellent standard, and the staff, including the front desk, room service and ground floor staff, to be friendly and approachable. The breakfast and room service food was excellent and of a high quality. I also found the amenties within the room fantastic, especially the wonderful king size bed. This was my second stay and I will continue to stay there for any future visits.
