  Having been to Sydney several times staying at different hotels each time (4 or 5 stars),we always break up our stays with two hotels for variety. The Intercontinental on Circular Quay had the most professional,helpful and friendliest staff of all the hotels we've stayed at in Sydney. We managed to get the room at a reasonable rate and took advantage of this. The - loved the location perfect for access to see the Opera Carmen at Mrs Macquaire :Point. Loved being able to walk through Royal Botanical Gardens (had a picnic) and easy acces to shopping with the free green bus just up the road. Our view from 2218 was excellent - we were really thrilled. Big thanks to the Conceirges who made our requests for massages and restaurants easy.   My husband and I, loved the location , as it was walking distance to cafes, buses , ferry, shops, Sydney harbour, Opera house and trains. We loved the comfy bed and pillows so much we haven't slept as well since arriving home. The staff were so wonderful as they followed up on our tour booking for the next day ,which we didn't expect. It was awesome. Nothing was too mu - Very comfortable and quiet hotel in an excellent location. Staff offered us a reasonably priced upgrade to a harbour view room which we accepted. Beautiful room on a high floor and lovely view. Great bathroom with separate shower which I prefer. We had a room service late snack which arrived promptly. Quality of food was average but as we only had the mushroom soup other options could have been tastier. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices for a a wide variety of cultures.

  A great place to stay, The Harbour View Room was fantastic we were there for the Aust. Navy Fleet Review and did not need to leave the room to watch the fireworks and events. Caught the train from the airport the Circular Quay not cheap bu - We had obtained a smartdeal for the Four Season for our last trip to Sydney. Apart from the value for money, the hotel was in a great location for a city visit to Sydney, pleasant staff, very comfy room, excellent house-keeping, L'occtaine toiletries and we took advantage of the gym and outdoor heated pool too. Some reviews had complained the hotel is dated. I wouldn't agree. Very enjoyable stay, we will be back.

When we came back to collect our bags I asked if there was anywhere I could get changed (into travelling clothes). I was given a pass to the inhouse gym and told I could also use the shower. This was a fantastic service and I really appreciated being able to do this before a 24 hour flight home!
