Very good value for money, the unit was clean with good heating. Car parking was good. The facilities and Restaurant were good clan and good food. The swimming pool area looks nice, but not the weather to try it out. The location to all the things you want to do and the CBD was excellant. All the dishes and utensils were supplied. Gas hot water, so didn't have to worry about running out. Nice park amenities, everything thing was clean and well maintained. Well laid out. We didn't feel squeezed in. Friendly staff.
all reviews » Well equipped kitchen. Quiet bushland setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant had good food at reasonable price. We only stayed overnight this time but we will be back. The facilities on offer at the village (pool & cafe/restaurant) are very good. Cabin was well maintained, clean & comfortable. Location to Canberra is excellent as was the value. I had a group of 30 people so having the option of a number of side by side cabins was very good for my group. I also liked the Bistro / Restaurant which we used on the Saturday Night. Cabin space and facilities and cleanliness. Proximity to city and major suburbs while being in a country location. Good staff, Good facilities. Good restaurant. We will return. the staff were friendly and the breakfast was adequate great value even though our cabin was dated it was extremely clean and the sheets were starched a good nights sleep. The staff were great. The cafe food was great the first night. I didn't really have much time to check out anything else but loved the quiet location. Very relaxing. Size of room microwaves - but I couldn't work out how to turn it on ?instructions needed. crockery and cutlery etc. parking available outside unit. There is no insulation, so the bedrooms get quite hot in the direct sun. The pillows were very flat. The refrigerator froze everything. TV was hard to watch, being high up over the kitchen benches. Bathroom was so small you had to step into the bedroom to have room to dry yourself. My only suggestion would be to do some landscaping as when you first dive in it gives a very barren appearence. We would have liked shelters over the BBQ areas. We would have liked a BBQ area closer to the Grevilla Cabins we were staying in. We would have liked to have a large lounge area for everyone in my Group to meet as the Cabins could not accommodate more than say 6 people. Beds too hard. Everything else was good. A bit of grass around the cabins would have brightened up the place a little. The cafe food the second night. I paid $39 for a small piece of overcooked steak and a small piece of overcooker and chewy lobster. Our booking said breakfast included, but when we arrived this was not the case. Needs revising. No electric blanket on the bed (for winter). Bulk rubbish bins overflowing on Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th and Monday the 8th October. It was a long weekend but there is no excuse for trash overflow especially with crows and rodents around. The photographs on the web page are misleading, particularly as to the internal size of the cabins. We got the impression they were bigger - ie same as other two bedroom cabins that we had stayed in previously, but they were less than 2/3 the size. Heating in our cabin was a little inadequate for Canberra winter temps. Bathroom a bit pokey, cabins v close together, food in restaurant pretty average considering the price. Would have liked more variety at the shop. the main bedroom was very cramped and the cabin in general was not very clean. it needs dusting. No open windows in our Motel room no fresh air not healthy Girl at desk didn't pass on that we didn't want room service so missed out on $10 refund. Towels were removed after one day which we didn't think necessary. Small bathroom. Wifi didn,t work very well and the Telstra signal was also hard to pick up. The room needed to be heated prior to arrival. Smallness of oven and hot plate. Cabin 104 one of the chairs had a wonky leg. Just to let you know but no big problem. 1. Paying for the first night accommodation when we had to cancel, even though it was several weeks before the date we had booked for. Not very nice for regular guests... 2. No hair dryers or DVD players in some cabins 3. Noisy air conditioners. The bathroom. The step up into shower is dangerous, the shower area is too confining, not enough space to place toiletries either in shower area or near basin, and extremely cold. Construction, not enough blankets, weak water pressure. microwave didnt work in cabin A few extra kitchen utensils would have made life much easier. No veranda. The lack of lights outside motel accommodation made it hard when going to car and restaurant at night. That most of the windows did not face the bush that was directly behind the cabin but rather other cabins and cars and that the natives behind the cabin was being strangled by a native vine. The pool tend to be a bit crowded. No electric blanket ! Deadlock not working. Small TV screen. The lack of space in the bedroom. In winter an electric blanket, was the only thing missing. Lack of bath and dishwasher in 3 bedroom villa. cabin layout , needing to walk through the bunk bedroom to get to the bathroom. The cold. Reception was a bit ordinary. Was not inexpensive. No complaints about the accommodation at all. Noisy of the AC. size of bathroom ,stove not working properly ,aircond not working properly. The park is unfinished.
