The apartment was very big! We had lots of space.It felt like home. We loved having a separate laundry room in our apartment. The kitchen was great.I really wanted to cook and it had everything I needed. The swimming pool is very long - perfect for lap swimming. It is also super for kids. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean.It was great having a dishwasher also. The gym was great for my husband. We thought Clifton Suites was great value for money. We would definitely stay .

The apartment was extremely roomy and every facility needed for a stay. Location is excellent and free parking a bonus. This is a much better way to stay in the city than in a hotel - all the space of an apartment with the amenities of a hotel if required ( restaurants, breakfast etc). Room size, Facilities, breakfast (good value and very tasty). As I asked for rollaway bed for one night only, I ended up upgraded to a 2 bed apartment. Most unexpected and very welcome as our son was allowed one night off from adfa and was able to relax in his own room undisturbed. The Clifton Suites are in an excellent position for all the attractions. They are easy to find being on the main road through Canberra. The Suite itself was excellent and we felt so comfortable that we decided to stay an extra night. We will not hesitate to stay there again. I liked the interior decor of my suite (on 8th floor). The bed was very comfortable with good support. The shower was double-sized. The kitchen was modern and well laid out and the washing machine and dryer came in very handy. All in sll a very comfortable stay. Our 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for us with a family wedding in Canberra. We stayed 4 nights and booked an additional apartment for 2 nights. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Thank you. The apartment was well equipped, and ncely styled. A very comfortable stay for a family of 4. The pool was a good size and well supervised. Extra towels, detergents etc were all not a problem. Real value for money. We'd stay again. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable seating to relax in front of the TV or sit and eat at the dining table. The location was an easy 10 minute walk to the city centre or a short drive to all tourist attractions. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the motel and how well appointed the room & facilities were. When I am back in Canberra I will definately stay there again. No coffee plunger for our coffee, pretty much a standard in an apartment I would think, and the wine glasses were very ordinary - how about some decent sized red wine, and champagne glasses would be good too. The TV position - a little awkward for 'family' viewing. Which we proabbly wouldn't have noticed too much as we hadn't planned to stay in to watch TV, but the weather had other plans. Only 2 elevators for such a large complex seems 'not enough'. While the waits weren't ridiculously long, the cleaning staff use the same lifts which meant mornings could be a bit of a wait. I found the noise of the construction site next door was a little annoying at 7 am, but we needed to wake around that time anyway. The towels have seen better days; they were scratchy and coming apart at the seams. The room cleaning was good but things like hot choc, tea towel and face washers weren't replaced once they went into the bath for washing. There is not enough equipment in the kitchen. It was very basic considering it is self catering. Half way through the stay the fridge died and continually beeped. We had to turn the power off in half the apartment to silence it as it was connected into a cupboard and there was no way we could pull out the power plug. The joys of staying somewhere over Easter with no maintenance staff on!. Apart from the bathroom, no complaints at all. The only complaint would be the ultra firmness of the beds ... both the twin room and the queen. We all found them so firm as to cause discomfort ... despite being of good quality. The tv remote in the lounge room was very difficult to use. The tv in the bedroom had some channels that were flickering. Expensive wifi. The building needs maintenance to bring it back to its past appearance, microwave and glasses /crockery are in very high cupboards ok if you are tall person anyone short or disabled would have a problem its a definate safety hazard. Nothing to fault - and believe me I'm hard to please. Minor difficulty with key card both to apartment and car park. Washing machine malfunction. Internet in the foyer was a little difficult to manage. Would have liked a mouse instead of just the laptop to use. It was not the hotel but for a city like Canberra it is unacceptable that the Tourist Information Centre is closed on the weekend. The Smell of Garlic on entering the Room. This was the only thing wrong with the Room. Otherwise So Clean and Tidy. deducted full amount prior to arrival, them an additional $50 incase of incidentals. Keys played up, particularly for access into the carpark. Too far from public transport, but unnecessary to take taxi. And local told me that the location is not good, very dangerous at night on that street. Looking onto building works next door but they did not bother us to much. Have to pay for WiFi. Cutting board and small paring/cutting knife would have been handy in the kitchen. There was nothing to dislike!. Cracked tile under my feet in kitchen. Traffic noise. Bed was extremely hard. I was at the back of the building overlooking the laundry, loading zones, etc., with resultant noise. The room directory is out of date. e.g. Wanted to use the shuttle which the directory stated ran until 11.a.m. but in fact ended before 9 and was of no use. Second, the three taxi firms recommended in the directory are automated and quite hopeless and one even charges an $11 booking fee!!! It is doing Clifton a disservice to recommend them. We used reception who efficiently arranged a regular cab, cheap and quick. when we arrived we were told that $100 would be taken from my card for each room (we had two) which was fine but when checking out I was told I'd get it back within two working days & it has now been four & my money has not been refunded yet. Coat hangers that are awkward to manipulate. There wasn't anything we didn't like about Clifton Suites. upon arriving and checking in staff were not terribly friendly and not very helpful. a little disappointing as this is my fav place to stay when in canberra. hopefully won't put me off staying again as i love the rooms and location..... Currently a lot of building construction in the neighborhood which at times was noisy. Uncomfortable sofas. Delayed delivery of room service and food was a little cooler than expected.
