Manager was very helpful, room was spacious, quiet location if you stay at the rear wing, close to all the food joints. Very good Value for money, You get all the Kids channel + Sports and Movies on Foxtel thats a big + will keep your kids busy. Overall our stay was very comfortable. Location was great, only minutes from the city centre and plenty of cafes and restaurants around for breakfast and dinner. Room was a 2 bedroom apartment which was great because I was travelling with a business partner, and cost effective at the same time.
all reviews » The location is great and although in (red light) Fortitude Valley it was quiet and with excellent security. The two bedroom suite was fabulous. The desk help great and luggage storage appreciated as was late (12 noon) checkout. Manager on site provided excellent service. We had a couple of issues with our room which he sorted out immediately and without fuss. Great location to go out. Everything (parking,staff, appartment facilities) just for enjoying to stay there. It was roomy Concierge / reception man was very polite both on the phone and in person. Comfortable furnishings and bedding. Location. bathroom was smelling, window blinds needs to be changed. The heater in our room did not work so a couple of the nights were a bit cold, Damage to the door in the main bathroom which had not been repaired. Needed an extra couch in the living area, bit too cosy for my likings. It could do with more detail to cleaning. It was a little bit difficult to find this place. Doonas were crappy and thin (but they had other blankets in the cupboard) Marks on the floor. Furniture (eg tv stand), shower screen, a bit tired. Unit 13 faces the main road, revellers are clearly heard until the early hours. Nothing really bad about it accept did not have a belconey but very very good besides that. When it said check in times on the web site it only meant during the week so no one to greet me and had to ring another site to get into the apartment building. Old and out of date. No staff to greet awkward to park and get in and out. Some of the other visitors were very noisy. No staff around at all on Sunday and because I checked in after 4pm Saturday I didn't get to speak to anyone face to face. Only one slow slow lift. no air con in 2nd bedroom no remotes worked no corkscrew. Couple of extra items in the gym would be good. needed block out drapes on street side for bright lights. It's not nice near PUB too nosie in midnight!. Not properly maintained - lamps without light bulbs - broken air conditioner - dated furniture. Nothing in particular. My room was on the street side - with the blinds down it was still like daylight inside because of the lighting outside so with uncomfortable bed I got little sleep - if I stayed again I would need to stay in apartment on opposite side away from lights. Our room was on Brunswick 100 mtrs from the main fire station and we could not open the windows because of the noise. Room was tired and a/c in lounge so noisy we had to turn it off and use the second bedroom a/c which leaked like a seive over the carpet. Need to do an inventory of glasses etc: as many short.Happy to stay again but not in a front room. curtains did not cover windows bath towels very thin lack of glasses / utensils. In need of an upgrade - bathroom shower head and screen need replacing. There is no sound proofing for the main bedroom and the curtains keep next to no light out... Made it very hard to sleep. Bed was two king singles pushed together and the join was very obvious. I wouldn't rate as a 4-star... Maybe a 3. The reception was closed all weekend, our room didn't have the extra bed as requested and it was hard to contact anyone. Cleanliness was less than desirable...no attention to detail. As an owner operator of a cleaning business, I suggest management either offer cleaner professional development or replace. It was the only letdown of our stay. Very bad internet service. Mould in the bathrooms and the broken lounge leg. Didn't like the old roast chicken left in the microwave from the previous guests. It stank out the whole room. Offered nothing for our inconvenience. Didn't like the broken cupboard door in the kitchen. The room was run down, scuff marks on floor and walls. The vertical blinds were broken. Large stain on carpet. Only tiny bit of toilet paper on roll. Room had a musty smell. Floor near door was spongey and lifting.spill marks in kitchen had not been wiped. Upon entry there was a full astray of cigarette butts outside on the table and the ground was full of ash. There was no tea/coffee, sugar or milk. We had to pay for parking as no one explained how to use the remote. Toilet ran all Night showers crap street noise Terrible unable to sleep. Not clean Floor sticky Furnishings broken Previous guests dishes in dishwasher Broken light and clock Balcony door would not even lock.
