Everything! The couple who own the Hotel made me feel very welcome. The Hotel is lovely, my room was immaculate and breakfast was great. Its in a fantastic location for the Torbay area and walking distance from Torre station. I have stayed in several hotels and would easily say this is nicest place I have stayed for the price. - Friendly welcoming

My husband and I absolutely love the way Julie and John greet their guests. It's like visiting an old friend's house: going into the living room, have a cuppa and a lovely chat, rather than the usual "business like" check in. It's the most friendly English B&B I've ever stayed. The breakfast is lovely, made to order in the family-like kitchen by Julie, while John is chatting with you about great places to visit in Torquay. Owners Carl and Sharon were very friendly and welcoming. Property was exceptionally clean and room was spacious. Breakfast was great, always freshly cooked, with multiple choices available. We, and especially our 4 year old grandaughter, were well looked after. Location was close to the seafront, and an easy walk to the shops and train station. A very enjoyable stay.

The room was large and very clean with tasteful decor. We liked that there was a strong sense of Eco-friendliness about the hotel too. We were made to feel very welcomed, and had as much help as we needed getting to and from places and finding out the best places to eat. I know it's not particularly Eco friendly, but a bath would have been a bonus

The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to accomodate our requests. It was very close to Torre train station (less than a few minutes' walk) and not too far a walk into Torquay itself. We were impressed with the facilities the hotel offered and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - simple but nice touches such as offering us a drink on arrival and offering local information (eating out, transport etc).
