It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. This is the second time I stayed at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Was with three other friends and we checked into two adjoining hill view rooms on the 5th floor. The view was not as great as the sea view rooms and there were no balconies but it cost a lot less too during the peak holiday season so no complains. The check-in was quick (less than 5 minu

The staff was not only friendly but helpful. We were in Penang with another family and my parents and did not arrange anything with the hotel in advance. There were no van rentals available but the concierge tried and made a few phone calls for us and did manage to one for us. We were really grateful to them for even trying.
The pool was fabulous and my children (9, 5 and 4) absolutely LOVED it.

My husband and I have just returned from 6 days in Penang. We chose Traders as it was close to the bus terminal and shops which was very convenient. We never used taxis as the bus system there is exceelent so it's easy to get around the main sites by bus at very cheap prices. When I check in early, the hotel provides a suitable waiting area for our children to play and surf the internet. Accessibility - After a long drives from KL, it was nice to find a nice place that allows me the accessibility to both the Penang island and Seberang Perai. It's a nice location. -

We booked the family suite - which turned out to be the 2bedroom suite on the top floor, occupying half of the entire floor.
Service - top notch. Supervisor was inspecting the room right before we moved in (although we were waiting for 2 hours before we were allowed to enter) and it was well worth the wait!

Very comfort.
Nice seaview from our room at 18th floor.
Very fast internet connection (Wi-Fi).
Equipped with sofa, lcd tv, astro, dvd player, hairdryer, heater, refrigerator, cutlery.
Very near to the night market, beach & restaurants/shops.

The apartments are located in a big building. Inside the apartment you'll have everything you need - 2 bedrooms (we were 2 friends travelling), Aircon, Fridge, Wifi, nice balcony.

I like the design and value. Personally i like the free complimentary welcome drink, at least the concept of welcoming guest. Overall, the hotel is superb. Looking forward to stay again in the future -
