Beautiful heritage house right in the heart of Georgetown, an easy walk (in blistering heat!) to most of the key places to visit.
The owners and staff were exceedingly friendly and professional, and the room was very comfortable.
The house has been beautifully restored, with as much attention to detail in the common areas as the bedrooms.
The huge, tasty breakfast was also a bonus!

It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. It rained part of the time we were there but this was a lovely place to just relax and read a book in peace. The heritage house is very pretty, décoration inside is tasteful and original. Location is not in the historical centre but a 10min bus ride leads there easily, safely and cheaply until late at night. More over, staff is super friendly, super helpful and super sweet.

Some of my ratings don't really do justice to this unique and beautiful hotel. Amazing setting, very helpful staff. The fittings of the hotel are perhaps a little tired in places, and they are currently part way through a major refurb...which will probably double the price! For now it remains a bargain to stay in such stunning surroundings.......g

The owner and her staff were really friendly and helpful too;

Fantastic. Best hotel I ever stayed at. The staff knows how to provide service and makes you feel at home. We stayed at the Rasa wing. At the pool side staff provides fresh fruits an cold towels twice a day. All soft drink are free of charge and at the lobby lounge free tea, sandwiches and cake are served between 3 and 4. Between 6 and 7 freewine, cocktails and snacks are served.
If you want a quiet breakfast it will be served to you, but in their "cofee" shop there is a buffet breakfast second

We almost want to keep Malihom our little secret it is so special...It's hard to put into words how beautiful the Malihom Estate is. The views are outstanding, the estate with infinity pool is outstanding, the Thai Barns are spotless, the food is delicious, the Malihom team are fantastic people who couldn't do enough to help and are so friendly. And if you love nature you'll definitely love Malihom.

My husband and I have just returned from 6 days in Penang. We chose Traders as it was close to the bus terminal and shops which was very convenient. We never used taxis as the bus system there is exceelent so it's easy to get around the main sites by bus at very cheap prices. It's well kept. Huge bed, nice view, very clean. Parking is easy and free. Wifi works very well. Was given a free upgrade to Premium room from the usual Deluxe.
