  Great B&B. Very clean and quiet. It's a 10 minutes walking from the train station, with the suitcases. There are 2 bridges in between, the big one right out the train station and a little one after so you may suffer a little with your luggage, but thats normal in Venice. Go straight on the street in front of the stairs and take the 2nd left (its the l - It is near the St Lucia train station and the attractions on the islands. It is about 15 minutes walk to Rialto market. We stayed 3 nights and went round almost the whole Venice by foot.

  A good position, close to the railway station but in an area of Venice which I know well and which is not particularly touristy. The staff were friendly and the room and bathroom very clean. Considering that Venice has for centuries based its prosperity on theft (I am a professional historian!), the Hotel Doge was a pleasant change from usual Venet... τι λέει ο κόσμος » ian characteristics! - The staff are lovely, very close to the train station and easy to find, sharing a bathroom is no problem as it was clean and the room is very quaint and cosy. As a woman travelling alone I felt 100% safe and comfortable. Highly reccomended and would certainly like to visit again!

  Awesome experience!!! Julia who is the owner is extremely helpful and understanding. She accommodated to our request at time of our check in. Excellent rooms and Excellent location. Our room (601) was facing the river (main one just opposite the station) and the Hotel is literally 50 mtrs from the station. In fact the bridge and the public transpo... τι λέει ο κόσμος » rt facilities are right outside the Hotel. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel as it cannot get more reasonable and friendly and ideally locate - location location location, this has to one of the best situated hotels in Venice, close to the station main bridge and the water-bus/taxi stops the staff were very helpful especially the concierge from the sister hotel as he redirected us back to the Abbazia deluxe after we had walk past the entrance (which is easy to miss) if you stay there, turn up the alley and the door is directly on the left, we had one of the rear rooms on the 1st floor and we couldn't believe how quiet it was all in all
