The location, price and facilities were excellent. the room was down from 420 to 240, i would definately look for a room again if staying in dublin. - We wanted to cater for ourselves and this hotel gave us the opportunity to do so.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The staff was perhaps the best part of the whole experience. We were able to lock our bags up before checking in so we didn't have to drag them around the city. Also, the staff helped us with directions, provided free maps, and recommended places to eat. You are at your home. You have a kitchen, can make your tea or lunch all the day, you have a kitchen for cooking or use the microwave. Room clean and the lady that takes care is friendly. -

Loved the room. (Room 202). When you went in the room door there was a living room area with 2 arm chairs, coffee table, fire place, TV, and an eating table with 2 chairs. Excellent value. I was worried about all the reports on noise, but it didn't bother me at all. It is fairly clear that it is going to be noisy anyway. Anyone complaining about this has been warned by other reviews and by the hotel's own website. It is ideal for anyone on a budget. Drinks were 2.50 at the bar and a large selection of meals from 6euro. If you prefer to be part of the party this place is great for you.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one month and I'm glad to say it was such an amazing stay. That staff was awesome and have helped us a lot in everything we needed. The hostel is easy to get to from Dublin airport. We got there by coach and it took about 40minutes plus 15minutes walking time.
Lots of tourist attractions are nearby and the free walking tour each day is a great way to explore and learn the city's history
Staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with directions
Breakfast is included which was really convenient. You could also cook your own meals in the kitchen

The Waterloo Lodge was ideal for my stay as it was 10 minutes walk to
rds and to Marion Square (start location of the Dublin city Marathon). I
traveled with my wife and our two kids (3 & 5 years old) and the
family room we had was ideal, plenty of space. Staff were very
accommodating and breakfast was excellent. All in all, we had a pleasant
3 nights stay in the Waterloo lodge.

I definitely liked the price and location of the hostel. Was positively surprised how clean room is and it was not much noise during the night so we could sleep normally.
There was a mistake with our booking and we didn't get room with private bathroom but manager was very nice and issued a refund + apology + discount for the next visits :)

They had computers to use for free, a kitchen to cook in from 8am to 10pm, they can keep your electronics behind the desk and charge them, free suckers, awesome staff, pretty good location, connected to a great cafe, good hangout space too.
